The only bounty I hunt is a chocolate bar, young apprentice. Did you just Padawan me ?! The glorious red Bounty is a rarity these days, my local Tesco hasn`t had them in for nearly 2 years now. I`d lick Yoda`s armpits, just to open the wrapper of one. they are so rare as to actually be unavailable, they stopped making them 2 years ago 🤣🤣

Getting shot of all but one of the players he’s able to at this stage is pretty ruthless, is it not? I don't agree, being ruthless would have been letting a few contracted players go too, you cant make statements about ruthless decisions on players and then just not offer contracts to all but one, that's not being ruthless that was the bare minimum we should have been expecting today. Granted he's told some they are surplus to requirements but unless someone else wants them we are still stuck with them Unless we decide to pay them off of course, but that process takes time. The logical thing to do is tell the players he doesn’t want to find new clubs and alert other clubs as to who’s available, which I’ve no doubt has been done. Only after this avenue has been exhausted, which obviously takes time, should we offer severance packages. Apart from getting shot of Dudik, he did as much as he could yesterday, a good start to the clearance project.

We`re in a better financial position to wait, and not throw them out the door right away. We might have to pay part of their wages for them to move on, but better than paying out the whole contract, just to force them out now. Although leaving the door open, that they "could" be involved next season, is a disaster waiting to happen.

Adam Tiffin's take on the list, from FLW;
Carlisle United revealed their retained/released list on Monday, and, after big promises about what was to come from it, the news wasn't quite as shocking as many would have hoped.
There's a real argument to be made, and many have made it, that Carlisle would be better off without most of the players from this season's squad, and some would stretch to say that some that were signed in January could be included in that as well.
The manager made a pledge that they were going to be: "ruthless," in the decisions that they made when it came to who they felt could help lead the Blues forward next year.
Wholesale change was, and is, needed, but the news that came out yesterday was more akin to a disgruntled family chucking out their broken toys at the skip.

I have criticised Simmo for a lot of his management decisions over the course of the season, but I do agree with how he has dealt with this situation. The alternative to what he's done would undoubtedly cost the club more by paying up contracts or clubs not wanting to take risks on "disruptive" players.

Possibly a bit of a no win situation I would say. If he came out and named 5 players then people would then turn round and say "who the hell is going to take them now" but it would have been a statement of intent I suppose.

Also from the sounds of it , it's not just disruptive players a few more have been told to go .
