Is there any reason he's only played 15 games this season?
Injury? Form?
Would we be signing another crock?

I think he's missed a fair bit of game time over the last 2 seasons with injuries. My guess would be that he's good enough for L1, the only reason he's on his way out is fitness.
I also can't imagine he's coming back. More fantasy football

With Abbott still in place most if not all our new signings will likely be crocked

He was good for us in L2 when he eventually got a start, and he made plenty of appearances in the NL when he left but this season either due to injuries or form he's not played much.
I'd like to think if the owners want a return to L1 and to stay there this time, that they'd be looking at getting players with experience in leagues of a higher standard than L2.
Hayden might be a good starter or backup in L2 but he's shown nothing to prove he'd even get on the bench in a L1 team. Ideally all those contracted for 24/25 who have performed so poorly, either due to poor tactics/management or lack of ability at L1 level should be classed as backups and any new additions should have the ability to stroll through L2 and do a job in L1. Otherwise every season it's going to be a major overhaul.

Time to hope he stays injury free...
Great player to have if he does though, good enough for a promotion team potentially.

If we can keep him fit, that’s a quality signing.
Adds some much needed physicality to the side and he’s a huge threat from set pieces, 20 goals in 86 games for Wrexham!

As others have said, great signing if he stays fit. By all accounts a great bloke off the pitch and a good leader. Knows the league and the club so I’ll say that’s a solid start to the summer business.

It’s a fantastic signing IF he can stay fit.
Great in the air, fast, athletic, a good professional personality.
A threat from set plays will be a refreshing change from last season.
Just hope his injury problems are over.

Haha, another one right. I don’t do bad for someone who talks shite and makes things up! He agreed to come back at the start of April.

Just hope his injury problems are over. Fitness is the only game in town for Aaron, all the great blokie stuff will be completely irrelevant if he is not on the pitch, hopefully we have structured the deal accordingly and it turns out to be a win, win for Aaron and the club,..🤞🏻

It’ll be interesting to see how we set up next season with Hayden.
If it’s a back 3 will he be competing with Lavelle centrally or Barclay on the right?

For me Aaron Hayden has the perfect attributes for right of a back 3.
But as we know he’s good in a back 4 as well.
