The youth team coaches are clearly under orders to get the boys playing in the same manner as the first team. They spent significant amounts of the game passing the ball backwards and sideways in our own half. Even when we got a free kick on the half way line and with most of our players near the opposition box, we passed the ball straight back to our own keeper. To their credit, they didn’t make the sort of mistakes that we saw against Walsall.
Workington Juniors were no mugs and weren’t unsettled by O’Donoghue’s goal after about ten seconds.

Sounds like a Football Manager (PC game) approach, where you tick the box to make your other teams play the same way,
Which makes sense, and clutching at straws here, but any youth team player, that finds themselves being given a start
will come in knowing exactly how to play, and what they should be doing.
And O`Donoghue hasn`t even been on the bench for us recently, so hope he keep his head up and doesn`t let it get to him.
