Take away the young lads and the unfit or missing players and I count 16 out field players available,certainly not a big pool to choose from.

I'm pleased for Scott that he is going to a club where he will feel at home and will be well treated by the management team. He came here to play for Williamson and his world must have shattered when he left. It was no fault of Hughes that he inherited a player who needed very careful handling. It was never going to work for him at Carlisle and I think Marc Tierney (who I saw at Woking and seems a very likeable bloke) has found the perfect solution.

Hughes might fancy trying Ellis upfront in a Paul Warhurst/Blackburn role and he starts firing them in from all angles. He's had him in defence and midfield so far.

I would have kept him as he is proven at this level but he might have found it hard to get game time.
