Symington is better than many players we were putting out this season. Dropped out of league football far too early imo. Just had a look and he only played 12 games in L2 for us, the other 60 odd were in L1. Kav ruined him, trying to turn him into a FB. Been a fantastic performer and servant to Reds, just hope he doesn't have any regrets as he's definitely had the ability to play at a higher level. I've always thought the problem was between the ears as he's definitely been good enough to have a few years in the FL. He even 'retired' whilst at Barrow then rocked up at Reds a week or so later.

Lukas Jenson named in the L1 team of the season. Which one? Lad from Pompey was in the EFL one… This one; The interesting thing about the Team of the Year in the EFL is that it was announced before everything had been confirmed. Pompey still hadn’t booked their place in the Championship and there were other teams such as Derby County and Bolton Wanderers battling for promotion. A new team has now been put up for debate by WhoScored, who help assist the EFL in their decision making for weekly, monthly and seasonal awards. They assess the performance of each player in every game and now the best 11 of the course of the 46 game season has been revealed.

Brad Young finished on 31 goals this season for TNS in the Welsh league.
What level is that on par with in England, NLS/NLN?

Tom Aldred is set to leave Brisbane Roar after four years with the Australian A-league side.
Aldred, who played for Scotland at Under 19 level, is understood to be unable to agree to a new deal with The Roar, for whom he has played more than 100 times.

Richard Keogh hanging his boots up;
In a statement published on his personal account on X, he said: “I wish I could play on forever, but we all know eventually this day will come. So after 786 appearances and 20 years, I am announcing my retirement from playing.

So after 786 appearances and 20 years, I am announcing my retirement from playing. A proper Old school footballer Thats an average of 40 games a season over the 20 years Stats like that are almost impossible to match these days and it just makes you wonder how many of the ones he missed were suspensions and how many down to him been injured.

And how many were down to being involved in a drunken car crash! He's had a great career and was decent enough for us. He won't be proud of the car incident, but when you make a mistake in life, you have to learn and rebuild. Well done dstander for concentrating on the negative aspect of topics yet again. Good luck to Keogh in whatever he does next.
