Billy said in a meeting and frank also that the trust had nothing to do with the EWM loan then in an agm Billy changed his mind and said they did.
Without the loan the club would be finished as they did the dirty on the lapping deal, wasted time on the Syrian and Jenkins cherubs wouldn’t let him spend any money - it was panic stations.
Old news now but very significant to the situation we are in. But as cufc says if you wanted to ask these types of questions should have been asked before now.
Question is how is the debt, we were put in due to ineptitude, going to be repaid - that’s the be all and end all now to a better future.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but did the trust member not come on here and say “the plan was to open the meeting up to everyone”, rather different from categorically saying it was open to everyone? Friend at work sent me this today, I think more people may have joined had they not have read or heard this: CCU explained, in another post, that this was the plan but for “confidentiality” the plans had to change - probably on request of the Piataks.

I'm sure they would rather it had been open to all fans. Something clearly happened or changed after CCU's post (worth noting it was pre-Turkish consortium leak).

All too confusing for me now!!! Did they only announce that once it was too late to join the trust or was it announced so everyone knew they had to join to either be able to buy tickets to go or to watch on the internet?

Yes - they set a cut off the day it was announced as members only. But there’s been ample time to join, it’s harsh though on those that wanted/expected to view who wouldn’t join for their own reasons.

I think more would have joined if they had known it was only for members, I think I would have as I heard the internet way was going to be for anyone to watch, surprised they never gave even a days notice. Not to worry anyway, Lincoln and Derby are bigger problems for me.

Personal opinion - the members of CUOSC will have done what’s best for the club - or what they thought. They’re all fans if you like them or not. Going over the loan agreement etc ain’t helping anyone, need to move past this, - we’ve had a number of years to ask these questions and people didn’t attend members meetings etc to ask them. What we need to be asking is what plan the club has to repay this is a deal can’t be agreed I think there’s only been one trust meeting since it became apparent that Purepay were unwilling to engage with the club regarding repayment and it therefore became apparent the loan was a bigger problem than first thought. I was unable to attend this meeting otherwise I would’ve certainly asked the question. I appreciate what you say we need to move on from the loan agreement, it’s just something which irks me and those who were involved have got off lightly imo. The trust were certainly involved btw, I know this for definite.

If youre going to tell 300 people something at 1pm exclusivity or confidentiality has nothing to do with who you tell it to as the minute the first details are revealed to a crowd of that size members or not its taken to be in the public realm and that doesnt affect confidentiality because the details are now common knowledge and no longer confidential and as far as exclusivity goes that is only really applicable to the current owners in that it would still preclude the current board talking to anyone else whos interested and in particular divulging details of the Americans offer despite the details of it now being common knowledge. The decision for it to be changed to members only can only be either the Trusts board or the Piataks.

Maybe the members of the Trust board could take on the personal guarantees currently on Andrew Jenkins and co.
Be the first positive thing the Trust board have done since they fcuked Story off.

The decision for members only was likely taken by the Piataks. No idea why really or why the Turkish bid had anything to do with it unless they were scared they’d turn up.
TBH I’m all for members only at the meeting, but online seems odd, whoever decided but it is what it is.

Billy and frank of the trust, at the time and if we can name them, both clearly told me they both had absolutely nothing to do with the then EWM loan. Then at an agm, I asked the question again where Billy said he did know about it prior and was needed. The trust done very well to not get any pgs at the time - why would they now? - should they have been more vocal at the time of taking it on, hell yeah they should of committed to a payment plan ffs but as I keep saying it was panic stations and Jenkins cherubs turned the tap off so who else would give us the money?

Is Moonie running two boards now. If so i've definitely signed up for the wrong one. That moment when you are sitting alone in the house except for the cat, who gives you a withering look because you can't stop laughing. Oh man, never realised I had done that till the younger lads at work said this morning. They were saying it would be funny if there was a photo from the Derby game in the newsandstar of Mr Moonie with a massage board taken by you. Learning lots on this website.

Bumble, you'd better not have been taking pictures of our massage board sessions.

I'm not a member of the Trust so understand why the meeting is for members only. There must however be many members who won't be able to attend. If there is to be a subsequent vote presumably the Trust Board will have to write to the membership giving details of the proposals. There will also likely be media representatives at the meeting. I therefore am puzzled at the idea of keeping things confidential. If legal advice prevents live streaming then so be it but I'll be amazed if the main details aren't in the public domain within minutes of the meeting ending.
