Its a good start, if I had a quid for everytime I have been through those turnstiles, maybe the digger should keep going and take the lot down but that is in the future I hope, many great memories in the Warwick as a youth and beyond, watched some great Carlisle sides over the years, however, we are in the 21st century and asbestos sheds have had their day and dont create much income on match days or offer any decent facilities. In the short term the improvements are a brilliant upgrade on what was there and you would of thought previous owners could of done something like this, we are not talking vast amounts here surely!

Jenkins was still in charge when the East stand was named after him and the sign put up. What more infrastructure investment do you need from a 15+ year ownership?!

They could've if they gave a fk but they didn't. They painted the stands ....oh wait no we had to get volunteers to do that . Which credit to everyone who did it should not have needed doing . As Jenkins was still a multi millionaire, let's not forget , 20/30k is nothing

Tellingly NO-ONE at the club is referring to it as the 'Andrew Jenkins Stand' All of the recent announcements on the official website / interviews with Tom 1 & Tom 2 regarding the refurbishments refer simply to the 'East Stand'..........

Noticed that myself. Think it tells you everything you need to know in terms of what the Piataks think about Jenkins tenure.

His and his two clingons invested the great sum of very little in BP or the infrastructure, facilities like toilets etc a complete disgrace and could of been improved for a few grand but it tells you what they thought of the great unwashed. I am beyond happy that they have gone and we are now trying to get back the 15 years wasted under their tenure!

I will never refer to the East stand by that particular name.

Uncle Tom said in their interview last week that more needed done to the spot than they first realised. That's what 15 years of neglect gets you.

Aye I bet he did, pulled a few walls down and found a few bodies of supporters past that couldnt find their way out after a big crowd, this is a joke for anyone seeking clarification. I imagine given the huge neglect BP has been through, some of the fabric of the buildings will have been in a shocking state. The west stand was built in the 50s and it seems our owners are spending a fair amount to upgrade the indoor spaces. Not sure if this is money well spent but if they are intending on keeping it then fair enough. When Tom has talked about the history of BP I am assuming he is alluding to the stands as part of that history, this may mean the west stand and the paddock maybe. As for our old friend the asbestos Warwick, I get it partly but it is an old agricultural building, and for those of us that lived through some amazing times in the Warwick in the 60s and 70s, our memories of those times is the real history. Take loads of photos of it, get peoples memories of it, put some of the bogs in our musium if you like, but for me we need to build a new Warwick in time and assign the old lady to where she sadly it now belongs, in our memories and a museum.

Health & Safety said the emergency exit in the far corner wasn’t up to standard and threatened to close the premises. The group, who used the Neil as their home pitch, asked the club if they were going to get it sorted as they’d be left homeless. The club asked them to pay for it! After much dialogue the group agreed to pay for the work to be done out of their funds, to which the club informed them that Carlisle Glass would give them a price! Imagine hiring a hall out and having to pay for the hall’s owner’s firm to do refurbishment work.

Their ownership in a nutshell right there, the three of them were a shocking disaster and we now are playing catch up big time, we are so lucky to have had this takeover, I think the fact we didnt end up out of the FL, is more down to luck than anything else.
