I'm not getting any sense that a potent Kelly/Armstrong partnership is being forged. If they are to be the number one pairing there is much work still to be done. I had really high hopes for Kelly based on what the Rotherham fans were saying when he left. I also had hopes for Armstrong based on what I had seen a couple of times and also the fact he was regarded as a decent forward in L2. Based on what I saw yesterday it's hard to imagine that pairing getting 10 between them next season, never mind the 30 odd we would need for automatic promotion. However I'm pretty sure a change in management could get a much better tune out of many of the players who have been poor this season.

tbh Garner was done, it had reached the stage were all he seemed to do was throw himself down after every bit of contact, it was sad to see. He started with a quick 4 goals for Oldham but he has still only scored 4 goals many games later. Not surprising hes not banging them in for fun at Oldham they've got a horrendous injury list and the wheels have completely fallen off in the last 6 weeks. But i.d have put money on he'd have scored some of the chances that our current forwards have missed had he still been around. You say that but he missed a few sitters for us before he left, not really defending the two we have up front, we have been toothless all season though.
