The fruit salad kit should be binned forever really, nothing superstitious but it is a reminder of our worst season.

I don't really care which clubs have their shirts for next season on sale at this point, and what other clubs generally do in June or July. We should have our new shirts on sale in advance of the summer every year, that way you can sell them in advance of holiday and warm weather season - you know, the time folks actually want to wear them. What we normally do is put them on sale so late and in so few numbers, if you want one you're lucky to get hold of one by October (or Christmas) just when you're most likely to wear it. So you want to start selling the kit when no one is playing football, people arent down at the stadium and the footfall is generally lower . Companies research these things and reckon global businesses know more than you .

Focus will be shifting to the Euros in a few weeks time. Once they are done and dusted then the focus will return to club football, you would imagine that has sone correlation to when kits are released.

Perhaps now they research things but prior to this, Jenkins and Nixon's web probably only went as far as reading The Evening News And Star.

442 magazines take on new kits;
The first Premier League kits 2024/25 will be dropping before the 2023/24 season is over – such is the modern world.
With football fashion a big deal these days, the race to release jerseys ahead of next season is already underway. Rumours and reports of various sponsorships, brand deals and even colour combinations always drop in the months before the season, teasing those fans who look to spend megabucks each season.

So when we put our kit up for sale has everything to do with "global business" and nothing to do with doing the same thing we've (more or less) always done. And when Premier League clubs put their kit on sale is irrelevant, because this isn't driven by "global business" at all. In the 21st century, folks shouldn't have to be "down at the stadium" to buy a replica shirt. Also "people playing football" isn't part of the equation in the summer, when it's warmer and you're likely to go on holiday and actually wear the thing.

Hundreds (if not thousands) of other shirts were sold in the same fashion. A couple of minutes online is all it takes. Wasn't 23/24 our best season for replica kit sales? Or did I imagine that?

That's the point. HB was suggesting low footfall at the stadium means we shouldn't be selling the shirts, hence my response. Keep up.

Actually no I stated it as one of the reasons , I also points out that they will be reasons behind it from logistical stand points. You think if early sales helped ? The likes of Manchester united , Liverpool etc would do it already. All you were trying to do on this thread was look for a critique, you then realised you've made a stupid attempt so then changed your argument, you are boringly predictable

Our season is already over.
