If someone punches you hard in the face eight consecutive times. Then suddenly stops and kisses you lightly on the cheek. How do you feel? Genuine question, would you have preferred to lose last night and Simmo relieved of his duties today, than win?

Way I see it is my personal opinion is Simmo should have been replaced by now, that hasn't happened and it's probably not going to happen before I would say October at the earliest. I would much rather be wrong with my current opinion and for things to get better, than suffer more shite just so I would be right.A rare thing on this board, you need to try harder. Now how many punches in the faces do you require before a light kiss?

Genuine question, would you have preferred to lose last night and Simmo relieved of his duties today, than win? Bit cheeky not to answer my question and expect me to answer yours. I would "prefer" not to have lost eight consecutive before last night. I would "prefer" not to have only 23 points from 34 games and the worst goal difference in the division by seven goals. I would "prefer" not to have a team performing on the crest of a slump and be looking forward to another season of struggle in Division Four next season. I would "prefer" to have football club owners who actually cared about the football. Win lose or draw there was going to be no "relieving of duties" this week, so your question is moot. Yesterday was one result. I'm not going to jizz myself to death over it, like the happy clappers are doing. It's impossible to take it out of the context of the season as a whole. Is it preferable to losing and yet more embarrassment and shame? Yes absolutely.

Another thing I hate is when we were losing was being told to look at the bigger picture yet when we win we have to be happy and not look at the Bigger picture of where we are in the league. I’m glad we won yesterday, about bloody time, but then I look at the reality of the situation and apparently become a miserable little goblin. It’s just called being bloody realistic - it’s still a shit show.

I would imagine if it was my wife then I would most probably have deserved it, so then the little kiss would make everything better and we would move on with our happy fulfilled life together after our little tiff.

Would you have preferred to lose and Simmo go today, rather than win and a little of the gloom is lifted?

Don't turn this into some sordid S&M fantasy with your Wife, honest to Pete.
Imagine NorthernSoul "beasting" you, roping you to a chair, then pummelling your mush with his ugly fists...
Before suddenly planting a loving smacker on your chops.
That's the equivalent of our current position.

If that's what losing 8 games in a row then winning one feels like to you then that explains quite a lot.
