If this is a celebration paid by a private organisation to use Brunton Park, for a religious event, then all well and good as the club will benefit, but if its a CUFC led iniative by anyone connect to the club, then its a different matter, in fact it would be disgraceful, im all for inclusivity, the more fans paying at the gate then great, regardless of skin colour, religion or creed. But you cannot celebrate a minority religious festival and think there will be no back lash, im a christian, never had so much as a mince pie or a hot cross bun offered to me during either Christmas or Easter respectively. And then you have people from other religions who attend matches and spend their money, what has been done for them ? .

It’s a club event led by the EDI officer.
The trust are sending a representative for it, so I also expect the trust to be manning the food stand on Xmas day?

So it seems equality, diversion and inclusivity, only concerns the Muslim religion, I wonder if Pioneer are providing the savagely slaughtered halal meat ? .

The food is from a local Indian, I believe. Maybe pioneer can do the food on Xmas day, never been done before though despite having AJ. Again no issue but let’s open BP on Xmas day otherwise it’s discriminatory.

Im looking forward to an explanation as to why there has only been one of the many religions of the world that is being celebrated inside a football stadium.

Anyone going to tonight’s iftar at Brunton Park? Anyone going to the free Christmas Day meal, for Christian’s, on Xmas day - orrrr What are the detsails before we all become inflamed with racist thoughts. Are the club paying for all the food? Are the club providing the room for free? Is this all down to Davidson? YES YES AND YES Meanwhile there will be dozens of ex servicemen sleeping on the streets of Cumbria this evening what are the club doing for them ? Davidson and his illegal immigrant loving mates are traitorous scum nothing more nothing less and the sooner hes chased out of the club the better. I hear hes made himself pretty unpopular in Hexham as well and has had at least one visit to his house from a few loyal patriots the sooner they pay a return visit the better if you ask me.

Was the club open Easter Sunday offering free Easter eggs/food by the club/clubs EDI - no it wasn’t. Will the club be open Xmas day to offer free food - I very much doubt it and it hasn’t before. That’s my issue. I’ve no problem with these events if you involve everyone/everything and we aren’t. This event was advertised by the club’s official EDI officer and therefore the club, therefore the club. Possibly through EDI, should be putting on events for all religious groups otherwise it appears agenda driven imo. And events for people who hold an alternative view i was under the impression thats what inclusive as in EDI meant

It would be impossible to have something for every religion in the world surely! I agree Britain is a Christian country all other religions should not be tolerated here. See what would happen if you went to Afghanistan or Iran and behaved like the illegal immigrants do here.

I’m not a Christian, nor any religion, things like this really aren’t my thing. But it honestly doesn’t bother me that it’s happening, just like it doesn’t bother me when people do the whole religion thing at Christmas and Easter. Each to their own.
It baffles me how wound up people get.
