American football is a cr@p sport. As opposed to 4th division English football? Football is not a cr@p sport. There may certainly indeed be cr@p teams, but the sport itself is not inherently cr@p.
I see your point... but as a fan of Carlisle united and England it tests that theory to the absolute limit!!
Somewhere and at sometime there must be / have been a team you enjoyed watching Porce? England had a decent team to watch in 1996.

Who could this mysterious 2nd fan be ? Wonder if it`s piglet ? Maybe they`ll appear with a laughing emoji, when Aaron Rodger`s season ends early, and the Jet`s go into meltdown. I`m just glad there seem to be no new england fans on here, which is almost a shame, as they`re crap now. American football is a cr@p sport. If it floats your turnips, fair play to you. But in my view it's one of the most boring and tedious sports on the planet. I'd rather watch kabadi. Tedious ? Likely, to those who don`t understand it`s complicated rules. Corrupt ? most certainly. As bad as our own football for putting money ahead of the fans, absolutely, and it gets worse each year. But one thing it is not, is boring ! But each to their own.

Not watched many games lately, used to catch up watching the BBC highlights show, too many breaks and time outs for me to sit through an entire game. My favourite game was Superbowl XX in 1986, Walter Payton, Jim McMahon and of course William The Refrigerator Perry, proper characters and showmen. I even lost countless hours playing the first of the John Madden games on my C64. Certainly not a boring game, and I'm currently enjoying The Dynasty on Apple TV, which follows the Patriots journey under Bill Belichick.

I remember staying up late, with the tv on with the sound down REALLY low, watching the NY Giants vs Denver Superbowl.
Didn`t think Madden games were made that far back ?! I had to make do with Head Coach on the ZX Spectrum, a game I`d still play today, if windows wasn`t such a dick when it comes to running older software.

Just had to check, the first game came out in 1988, I was based in Germany so had access to the American supermarkets on their bases, so might have got it sooner than available in the UK. The early Madden game was on cassette, then I took the big leap to an Amiga, proper technology.

Friend of mine had 4th & Inches on the C64 around that time, that looked so much better than anything on my Spectrum !
I think one of my main reasons for begging for an Amiga at Christmas, was a game called TV Sports Football. I`d set up a game, and then just sit back and watch it, whilst necking some scrumpy I`d got from the local farmhouse !

I knocked up some hours playing that game and, of course, Sensible Soccer.
