As Timmins is going and Barrs contract is up. This would be an ideal time to get a new Manager and allow him to bring in his own team without too much compensation. Getting rid of Simmo and Skelton will no doubt cost £150k plus, however, if Barr gets another year or more and we have a goalkeeper coach coming on a 2 year deal, come October we could be looking at £300k plus to get shot. I know the septics won’t get rid of Simmo, but I don’t expect a top half finish maybe write the season off and run down contracts, I doubt that is the American way tho!

the whole management team need to go. it doesn't matter how much credit Simmo has for last season this season has been a total shambles. At one point last season we were in the automatic promotion places. Why then did our "messiah" not look at what we might be up against in L1? Did he not look at what we could be facing if/when we went up? If it came as a complete surprise that L1 was of a higher standard then he should not be in the position he is. Thank you Simmo & pals and goodbye!

Simpson said he was happy with the size of his backroom staff, pending the filling of the physio and goalkeeper coach vacancies.
“I think we’ve got the right people in place and it’s just a case of making the additions over the next few weeks,” he added.

What do we do at the lower levels? Surely we don't have 1 coach who trains u12-u18? We use volunteers? Students from the sports management courses at the college /uni?

Danny Grainger works part time during the week with one of the under age groups. There's always people with club track suits wander around the ground during the week, might be community based rather than club, but it would be interesting to find out how many people we have working behind the scenes. Does anyone know?

Each age group has its own designated coach. Not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure it's voluntary, although bigboblee is probably the best person to answer as he has a good knowledge of youth teams. Paul Boertien, Lee Andrews both ex players are coaches of a couple of the age groups.

There`s a "youth team news" thread, that`s quite recent, and I`m sure someone mentioned how the setup works, for the youth teams, but it might have been in another thread.
There`s bigboblee, and rob76, who regularly post info on it all, and some great stuff in there from them both.

It would be good to get on that mailing list. Maybe as a board we could support it?
