Simpson is going nowhere for now at least not until 10 games into next season, its time to stop trying to get him sacked and focus on the rebuild. Stop trying to get him sacked, it's not me, he's doing an excellent job himself, I'm just saying what I'm seeing, and hopefully the owners will see the same.

I know I'm good, but I doubt if Tom P is reading this board he's going to give a f*ck what I say. I'm fully focused on the rebuild, and consequently rather concerned that they've tossed the keys to the same guy who brought in Lewis, Kayode, Plange, Grehan, Lavelle and an injured striker when we were desperate for goals.

I might only have a couple of days of moaning left, as if he`s not stepped down by Tuesday, then he`s staying.
I`ve been clinging to the hope, that he was asked to stay until the end of the season by the Piatak`s, and agreed.
And that they know just how bad we`ve been, and will make the change.
I was also hoping we`d show some signs of things coming together, and this team might become a force next year.
But there was pretty much nothing.

I don’t know how he hasn’t been sacked after a 30 point season. I get that he had some credit in the bank after last season but that ran out months ago. No manager should survive a season we’ve just had.
Anyway it’s clear he’s staying so we’ve just got to hope and keep our fingers crossed that he turns things around this summer. I think every Carlisle supporter hoped for that even his biggest haters.

What we want to know is how he’s going to turn it around which means he has to stop making excuses and tell us what he’s going to do differently. Current strategy clearly is failing big time.

Being a hater doesn’t necessarily mean you hate someone. A hater can simply be a highly critical or negative person.
Anyway that’s what I mean. He should have been fired, he isn’t getting fired, so we’ve got to hope to f*** that he turns it round.

They’ve also said that likely relegation this season was also factored into their planning. Think this explains why he hasn’t been sacked. In their heads it seems like next season is when their project really starts

I don't hate Mary Poppins, I actually feel sorry for him. His collapse, from a mental perspective, continues to be quite sad to see. It's entirely undignified. He's effectively on death row, digging his own grave. The Piataks have handed him a huge silver shovel and due to his pride he is stubbornly refusing to stop digging. In the last 12 months he has aged about ten years, he looks haggard, grey and exhausted - a shell of the man he once was. By the time he's eventually put out of his misery his failure will be so deep and so far reaching and so complete he (and his legacy) will be totally crushed. If he'd departed in early February (like he really should have), at least he could have stepped aside (or upwards) with a bit of dignity. Hold you hands up with a bit of humility, face the fact he's screwed it and change is needed. But to continue and persist with his torture like we are, is very cruel. It also puts the future of the club very much at risk. Anyway, I'd love to be wrong and to see him rise like a phoenix (ahem) from his own ashes.... But deep down, I think we all know that's highly unlikely. Apart from the Piataks, who continue to drink the Cool Aid.

In their heads it seems like next season is when their project really starts Well if relegation was factored into their planning they should just do one right now Anyone who knows the EFL could have told them spend 2 million and stay in league on and you in effect get that back by not having vastly reduced income streams the following year in league 2 its not exactly fcukin rocket science.

The owners were at Wembley to see the euphoria of what promotion means to English football clubs, so their continuing support of a failed manager is worrying, I initially put it down to naivety, but I'm now convinced Simpson has them eating out of his hand. It may be due to his involvement in all club issues, on and off field, thus making his use to them too great an asset to lose. But sadly his off field task's have forced him to take his eye off the ball, regarding first team issue's and that's why we are in the state we are.
He's offered too much, they've accepted but he's failed, now it's up to them to bring in not only a new management team, but individuals who can project manage the stadium improvements and training ground programmes. Remember the non playing side of the club was cut to the bare bones by the previous owners, so who apart from Simpson will have been helping the Piataks with all the major changes, the girls in the office, the ones in the shop, Nigel, or Dave the groundsman? Apart from a business and stadium manager there's not that many folk behind the scenes.

Oh, and Clibben's, just for once in your stuffy corporate world, stop hiding, put your hand up and say something about the current management situation.
