Stevenage signed Piergiani from Oldham when they were relegated to conference. The position of a team in a league does not dictate the quality of all their players. Do you want him? Another no from me. Seasoned pro looking for last hurrah. Not what we need Not sure if I’d want Bayliss, clearly has the ability to thrive in L2. What I do want is our recruitment team casting the net wide, looking for players in locations and at teams that were previously ignored, that they look at the data and statistics to help inform decisions in addition to background checks with contacts. Our owners are going to expect/demand more of a data driven moneyball approach to identifying players with the potential to excel for us. Rather than going on gut instinct on players in a small number of clubs.

Lots of lesser leagues in Europe where the salary here would be attractive work permits allowed.

We have got to go and look at the Scandanavian talent, though how many we can have in the squad now we are out of the EU i'm not sure about but the place is chock full of talent atm

Different players work in different teams, I was just saying he’s “potentially” worth a look as we’re crying out for a midfielder with some creativity. Danny Mayor had a poor season too, similar type of player and is coming down with Fleetwood. I still think he’d be quality in L2 next year. He’s 33 ! His best days are gone. We need to be looking for longer term talent surely and not just short term maybes Some of our best signings over the years have been mid-30’s whose best days have gone. Mayor’s track record is excellent, one poor season shouldn’t define him.

Always liked Tom Flanagan at Sunderland, just been released by Shrewsbury. Certainly worth consideration whilst rebuilding our defence.

The only player Wrexham have under 30 whose contract is up is Hayden, except goalkeepers. Stockport have a few, no idea how good they are, but maybe possible Connor Lemonheigh Evans AM (a good give me a C etc on the terrace to kill 20 dull minutes on a cold Tuesday at Exeter), Ryan Rydell LM, Macauly Southam Hales RM (Christ do they sign these players just to make money on the shirt backs?). All positions we need. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/stockport-county/vertragsende/verein/1098Rydell out with an acl my colleague tells me. Shame.

According to transfer market he's a defensive midfielder. We have Neal, guy and mcgeoch there. They have a centre back pye, and they took one on loan from port Vale, cass. Few players in there

It’s players like him & guy you miss the minute they’re not playing. Facing into next season at the very least I wanna see some players with a bit of steel.
