Well here we are, relegated back to the basement. We have new owners, who are winners. They aren't stupid and they have the finances to push the club forward. As has been said many times, the January window was the time to sign the players to keep us up. That was the script and as we have seen, the season has been a total disaster. The management are totally responsible for that and the question is, where do we go from here? It's ok to say give Simmo ten games. It's to late then, the money has been spent and the players signed. Then another wasted season, or worse, the way we looking today. As someone said the other day, Simmo is negative and things always seem like a mountain to climb, for him The fans are looking for optimism and to be given something to look forward to. I don't think this can happen under the current management and only when the owners grasp the nettle and have a total clear out, bring in competent people, then the supporters can truly start to believe again. Simmo out, now is the time.

Maybe they loved the fact, he "wasn`t wasteful" with the budget they gave him, and loved how hesistant he was to spend too much.
Which would make him probably the first manager in history, to not spend his transfer budget, for the purpose of not wanting to waste the owners money, and them actually being happy with this approach, and keeping him on.
It was possibly a 3D chess move by Simpson to do this, and manage to keep his job.

I think we all know the reason why he didnt dip into the 2.5million pot when Jenkins told him to The fact that hes still the manager after the worst season in the clubs history is the evidence of that
