I expect there will be a mixture of age profiles. We (like almost every other club) are a selling club so looking at potential resale value is vital.
And yes, Kyle Walker still seems able to shift a bit well into his 30s 🙂

Younger wingers, older central defenders is the usual I guess. Would be good to see us pelting forward, rather than moving so slowly

Leadership & character is key and we need a strong spine of it for next season but that needs to be complemented by younger flair, speedy players.
If you think of last summer’s signings Lavelle has leadership qualities and captained teams in the past, mcgeough, butterworth & Maguire wouldn’t strike me as vocal or leaders at all. We lost Feeney, hunts rarely played & guy got injured & lavelle’s confidence evaporated. Biggest fault in January was not bringing in an experienced CB with these qualities & paying whatever was necessary.
This summer targeting the likes of Liam Moore & Croasdale would bring in strong leaders to add to guy, Neal & vela. I think Simmo will be targeting big physical athletic players as we’ve been physically dominated too much this season.

McGeough and Maguire were at least experienced pros who have performed at a higher level, they should have helped lead by example if nothing else.

When I saw Liam Moore I thought he would be great. But I think he has really struggled with injuries. He only started 2 games. If we had a 31 year old and a younger player it would be a great mix.

Right you do scouting correct ?,yet you recommended Liam Moore , there is a reason he player limited matches because of his injury that kept him out for 2 years , he'll be retired next year.

I'd like us to look at Ruari Paton at Queens park, and to bring back Brad Young from TNS.

I'd like us to look at Ruari Paton at Queens park, and to bring back Brad Young from TNS. I always thought Brad young looked good, but he couldn't finish. Paton will be expensive. Bobby Wales at alloa looks very composed. Though everyone does playing against queens.

I'd like us to look at Harrison Male for the back up. Released by dorking and has been one of, if not the best GK in the National League. Could definitely push Lewis for the number 1 shirt whole breeze is out on loan. Only 23 too George Nevett at Rochdale looks a real player, although he is highly sought after so may command a large fee. 18 year old CB. Dan Ellison at Chippenham worth a punt for only 10k. Oscar Rutherford refused a contract at Eastleigh, Their fans seem to rate him. 20 year old WB. If Simmo persists with this 532 then hed be solid. Connor Barret's contract at Fylde still not sorted, so we may be able to get him on a free. Very good young RB. Besart Topalloj is another i'd look it should Bromley fail to go up. Only 22 and been solid in the VNL. Can play LWB LB or LCB Ellison just been called up for England C. Probably unrealistic but we should be beating down the door.

Don't know if it has been mentioned Janoi Donacien, experienced , played mainly In league 1 with decent performances, didn't played many this year but in an Ipswich side there likely going to be a premier league side next year .

Yes i mentioned him six months ago but info since is that hes put masses of weight on Which is a shame as he was excellent whenever i saw him for Stanley Better option now theyre promoted would be Kayden Jackson as theres a pretty good chance he,ll get released turn him back into what he used to be a goal scoring poacher but with the added value in that he can now also play in a defensive role if it was needed.

Kayden Jackson I feel would've a stretch feel a top end league 1 club or even a lower end championship club would take a risk, we'll have a good budget but they'll match us wage wise and offer better facilities, location, and level of play. Easy enough to get weight off ,I lost 2 stone in 3 months from reasonable fitness (gym 3 times a week, swimming x 1 , football (training /match) and tennis in the summer, , 4 stone in 9 months in the end. A professional athlete train and playing week in week out will get that lost in a few weeks .

With Morecambe struggling money wise might be worth looking at Jacob Bedeau athletic left footed centre back would offer competition to Mellish.

He's been good, but wound take Jacob Bedeau all day long, great athlete, great on the ball, can struggle in the air but on the left of a back 3 would be more than suited. Joel Senior for me isn't a player who could step up to league 1.
