Needs dropped I reckon, looks dodgy most games. Time to give Kelly a chance.

If they thought for a second that Kelly was good enough he would have had his chance by now.
I agree Holy needs dropped, but we need to bring in a new goalkeeper to drop him for.

Tough one this - 9 clean sheets isn't a bad return at this point, but Holy has made a few errors this season. As much as I feel he should have done better, he wasn't helped by his defence at all yesterday - on another day, Senior clears the ball and the first goal doesn't happen. And Huntington and Feeney aren't usually taken out by the kind of ball that led to the second, nor is the midfield as wide open as it was yesterday. As much as I think he had a mare yesterday, I don't see the GK situation as a high priority right now. We're down to the barebones up front, have no cover at WB, and still need another CB (and arguably a midfielder).

As said elsewhere I think he's arguably Simpson's best signing so far.
There have been numerous occasions where his saves have kept us in games at vital times and have won us points and his clean sheet tally after half a season is not to be sniffed at.
I completely disagree he was to blame for that first goal yesterday, it's a bizarre opinion frankly.
Even his mistake at Walsall came from a clearance he would never should have had to have been making if Barclay had been awake.

Wasn't Kelly back up at Bray Wanderers in the Irish second tier?? I hardly think it qualifies him for League 2. IMO he's there as an absolute last resort. Holy has made a few errors but i'd still rather stick with him.

He's an average L2 keeper, but his kicking is bloody awful, personally I'd have preferred that we'd have kept Mark Howard, but in Simmo we trust.

He is the least agile keeper I've ever seen. His place kicking is aimless. Considering his height, his command of the 6 yard box is woeful. It's not the number of clean sheets that count it's the number of saves he makes.
He should never, ever be getting beat at his near post.

Today's result versus the Lancashire lot gives Big Tom the club record of clean sheets in a season.

Another who was excellent yesterday. Excellent save in extra time, got down for a penalty, distribution generally very good, and controlled his area well. He absolutely loves it too!

One of our lot (the FA referee) has been doubtful of Thomas when he's seen him twice before. Yesterday, I was frequently saying "Great hands!" and he agreed. Fantastic team spirit.
