Who is taking it personally?
Back to my original question, how can they produce it and sell it for £2.50 and still make a profit?
What is it you're actually eating?

What is it you're actually eating? flour, water, mozarella, some herbs, cherry tomatos, base sauce, probably a bit of salt and no doubt sugar as well and then all those Thiamine or thiamin, also known as vitamin B1 type things... Give them a ring and ask them 0800 042 0800 ALDI UK National Head Office and Atherstone Distribution Centre, phone ps the implication you are making is that it made out of crap for £2.50 The fact it is a huge superstore and it will have a contract with a factory that mass produces these things like any frozen product, damn it man just use that intelligence you think you have. I still won't be eating your raw tomato mexican pile of shite

When you take account of mark up, transportation costs, cost of production, labour etc, even if Aldi buy in bulk it still doesn't leave an awful lot of the £2.50 left for production.
I worked in food production in the UK for a short while (not the top end of the market), so I know the production methods and standard of ingredients which go into mass produced food products like this which include any sort of "meat". So indeed, the implication is that the Aldi pizza is made out of questionable things in dubious manner - because it most probably is. Whoever produces it will have a margin, Aldi themselves will have a margin and many folks have to be paid in between. It's impossible to retain those margins, sell for that price, use good quality ingredients and make the product with care - then retail at £2.50.
Carlisle is awash with fresh pizza shops, whether you have a phobia of "raw" tomatoes or no, you can get good quality fresh pizza really easily. I don't think any mentally competent person would be picking the Aldi option in a blind taste test...
I do pity you, Alf. Your lycopersicoaphobia means you'll never know the joys of a good BLT sandwich or Caprese salad, poor you indeed.

It is a cheese and tomato pizza you ******* snobby cretin, no dubious meat to be found in a non meat pizza. Thanks for the lesson on food production, now shall we talk about the cleansliness of these take away establishments, something I know a lot about, I wouldn't eat out at 90% of the places you would be happy to sit your dull arse in and pay their going rates, I see round the back and in the kitchens and there are sights you wouldn't want to know about. Oh and... Dictionary definition Lycopersicoaphobia is the fear of tomatoes or ketchup. The fear of ketchup can develop for many reasons. For those that like to toss big words out there to make themselves look and feel smart. I don't like RAW tomato, nowhere does that indicate a dislike of Ketchup or even cooked tomatoes in all the various forms that may take You really are a massive cock, I was willing to try and ignore that on this new site but here you are once again being a gobshite. Over a shite mexican pizza lol piss off piglet you gimp.

Ooh touched a nerve there, it seems.
You really need to calm down and chill out a bit. Getting all frothed up and angry over pizza makes you look like a bit of a weirdo.
I've sat in many a UK pizza shop and watched them prep pizza and cook it before taking it away. The decent ones don't tend to do it out of sight. There's also that cleanliness rating job on the wall, if you possess a brain cell or two you can gauge the cleanliness of an establishment. That's not the case with your sweet chili chicken effort from Aldi, you don't get to see it being made or see who makes it.
Anyway, I apologise for mocking your tomato phobia, have you tried any sort of therapy?

Piglet on the wind up as usual. What a surprise. A leopard never changes its spots, as they say

Hope Alf is ok and hasn't been chopping at his wrists with a pizza cutter.
Anyhooo, are we getting a picture of this Aldi pizza, or what?
All this waiting is making me hungry.

Probably £6.50 a pop now, given inflation and supermarkets taking the piss with margins.

Going through all these old threads, there are a lot of deleted users.
I now put BBQ sauce on my pizza`s, 5 mins before taking them out of the oven.
Used to love putting fresh green chillies on them, until Tesco stopped doing them. I then bought some birds eye chilli flakes, to put on instead, but one night put too much on, and didn`t think I would mind too much.
But I did mind...I minded a lot, and haven`t put them on/in anything, for over a year now.
