The Carlisle Social S1 E18: In Simmo We (Still) TrustLummy 100% right on here. Barely stops short of naming some on here or Twitter, but some 40+ year old men losing their minds like children at our current situation and behaving in an embarrassing manner want to have a look at themselves. Also, the Skelton thread is ridiculous. Anyone who wants him out, who is complaining about him not being 'vocal enough' with no insight of what's going on behind the scenes is just outing themselves completely. If Simmo (a manager with a proven track record, who has had multiple assistants of all types through his career) wants him in, that should be enough.

And you.ll be one of the accept relegation just to keep Simpson happy crowd then ?
Me i.m all for doing whatever it takes to stop that happening
And we can all see whats going on behind the scenes absolutely fcu king nothing other than a bit of Simmos deckchair moving routine.

Never mind that crack, the Lumsden house story is gold Ah thatll be Mr Lumsden faded star of 2 decades ago who i doubt has ever paid to go to a Carlisle match in his life. And what time people post at on a message board is absolutely **** all to do with him or anybody else for that matter. If he wants to come on here and have a go then i for one will be here waiting for him.

Thought that was funny to be honest. I regularly post at 1 or 2 in the morning myself - never been one for getting much sleep. 5 or 6 hours is enough for me. Still manage to work full time, raise 2 kids, follow the club, play in a band (purely recreational, we've not played a gig in well over a year), and get out and about in the lakes (not as much as I used to, admittedly - need to work on that).

Enjoyed the Carlisle Social show. Like listening to Newton, level headed lad. Understood the points made by Lumsden regarding listening and in essence self educating yourself with information already available from Simpson.
Bugle one pretty decent. Lot of ideas that the Yanks have already used all over at Football, finally happening here now though so a positive.
What jobs do the people do who keep posting through the night? Bit cheeky from Lummy that comment, seemed to be saying they are saddos of a poor social standing.

Bit cheeky from Lummy that comment, seemed to be saying they are saddos of a poor social standing. I won't name the company I work for, but as one of the posters who occasionally posts at '1 and 2am', (I always have a last check of the forum before going to bed and often have a quick comment or two to make) I'll give a brief summary of what I do. In my work, I'm responsible for a whole bunch of stuff - safety management, logistics, training, administration, keeping up with legislative changes, liaising with emergency services and a government agency, blah blah. As part of a management team of 3, I have around 30 staff to coordinate. It's well paid (for the area), and a diverse and interesting job which carries a fair weight of responsibility. If I didn't do my job well, I'd be out of it - as the repercussions for my employers would be serious. I have a bunch of other stuff I manage to attend to in the real world whilst trying (and failing) to keep this forum in order. Whilst I'm hardly part of the social elite, I have a respectable job, a fantastic young family, and live in a stunning location. I found Lummy's comments quite funny, personally, though I have no way of knowing whether I'm one of those he was going for. I can also confirm that there are folk on here who occasionally post from various parts of the world - it may be 1 or 2 when I post the odd thing, but it is 7 or 8 in the evening for others. I'll also say that I enjoyed the Carlisle Social, as well as the Bugle. Personally I quite like the Last Ditch too, it has a different feel to the other two - more light hearted, I think.

I found them funny myself but could see how some would take it the wrong way. A guy I know only looks during the night as he’s currently on a covert mission in South America for a private army he works for, doing his bit for humanity - not right to tarr a man like that with the brush intended for a wum.

I'm not sure how to take that part Are you Forecourt Manager at Southwaite Servy? Na mate, I'm in a 'slightly' different line of work. Don't get me wrong, it's not Haliburton, but it's a wee bit more specialised than a forecourt.
