When we knew he was injured then it was madness not signing another striker who was fit, even till the end of the season.
I know I gave Armstrong a bit of stick but you can see he cannot get any goals on his own, they are making him look like a bad signing.
Edmondson and Garner till the end of the season would have least been extra options, sounds like Edmondson is playing against teams that Penrith would beat.

Fair enough Garner had to go then to get the contract. But Edmo could have gone whenever, looking like very poor management now, as JP pointed out in the podcast, not in the best interests for the club at all.

Edmo had downed tools he was going.
Garner is the strange one especially given Simmo said there’s a games played clause in his deal last season.

I have no doubt if you ask Simmo it will be Edmo's fault for poor attitude. Absolutely nothing to do with how he was managed😡 Could and should have gone at the end of the season.

Fair enough, let them leave if we have replacements but these two players were under contract and if we cannot replace them then they need to understand we need them till the end of the season.
Bringing in an injured striker is sort of resigning yourself to relegation as we leak at least a goal a game and we couldn't score before anyhow so it is ridiculous really.

Panic buy.
We've signed another sicknote.
Fantastic work by Simpson and Abbott this one.
Rotherham will be laughing at us, agreeing to pay Kayode's wages for a season and paying a fee for Kelly.
How much cash have we flushed down the toilet?

I'm going to give a bit of slack over Kelly - Simpson said at the time he was bought with the future in mind.
But (and it's a big but) this latest injury update only hammers home what a let down the latter part of the window was. Letting Garner and Edmo go I can understand. But (and it's another big but) not replacing them (and replacing them in the here and now) is borderline insanity.
For Simmo's sake, I hope Dudik turns out to be the rabbit in the hat - otherwise this is going from being a bad season to an absolute disaster.

Letting Garner and Edmo both leave, without adequate replacements, looks like a terrible decision right now. What are we going to do if Armstrong gets injured?!

Correct me if wrong but pretty sure what he said was he's one for now and the future. Besides, if he's not for now, then why on earth did he let the others go?! Between this and signing Grehan, for reasons still unknown, it doesn't look good on those in charge of equiping the squad to challenge in L1. There's been much talk of not being ready for L1 etc. but my, there's been some questions raised over many areas. Our position in the league is embarrassing however you frame it and I really think we could and should have made a better fist of it.

If being rooted to the bottom of the league is a bad season, I’d hate to see what an absolute disaster of a season looks like.

Simmo did say if they left it to the summer to sign him we’d have had a lot more competition with him being out of contract, unfortunate how it’s worked out so far but the warning signs were there when Rotherham fans said he can’t do 90 mins.
