There’s one from 79 on eBay for £650 no bids, some less for £40 etc so probably keep hold of it for now.
I have some of those football cards as well.

Have a look on ebay Mullen, those early ones can fetch a fortune, as there are serious collectors out there for them. Not sure if the packs had gone up in 86, found a single pack for sale on ebay, but no price marker on it. A bargain ! - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155433468609Think all the Panini stickers were in boxes of 50. I collect vintage Star Wars, and there was a chap some time back, who came across a BULK case of Empire Strikes Back stickers, not sure how many boxes were in there, but he sold them off, some unopened boxes, and others he opened, and split up, and sold bundles of packets, and he made an absolute fortune on them. Think he went exploring an old abandoned newsagents, and found them in the basement, so the story goes. Is that not theft?

It`s a bit of a grey area, these are buildings falling into ruin, and people go in, and find all manner of things in there. There are people who`ve found Star Wars figures, brand new in the box, and made a packet from them. Same goes for many other toy brands from the 80`s, as they were sold almost everywhere back then.
Surprised to see them so low Mullen ! Just had a look, and keeping an eye on a few of them, that end in the next week but I`d definitely keep hold of them for now, as they` only ever go up in value. Stick them in a bag, and store them.

A grey area?
Trespassing into someone else's property and helping yourself to something which doesn't belong to you?
Do you live in a caravan?

First job after leaving school at 16 was for the company that distributed the stickers.
Panini heaven.

A grey area? Trespassing into someone else's property and helping yourself to something which doesn't belong to you? Do you live in a caravan? These are things left behind for 30 odd years, in buildings falling to ruin, and left to collapse, which any owners have ignored for decades. Fair game, I guess ?! That was a good landing from school Moose ! You have anything from there still around ?

The one I was most fixed on was the Mexico 86 one - needed under ten stickers to complete if I remember correctly.
Had earlier regular ones as well but I think that it being a World Cup it made it a bit more special.
A random one that I had was the Disney Aristocats one, I actually managed to finish that one.
Another one I completed but not stickers was those Superman cards that you used to get, they went through the film card by card - the hardest one to get was that white conker shell that the young Superman fell to earth in as it took me an age to get but it was a bit more tatty than the rest of my collection.
When you turned them over each card was part of a jigsaw like photo that formed Superman taking flight.

You’ve sparked some memories there. Yewdale to Belle Vue is a little bit of a walk just for stickers. I mean, not far (I used to do the opposite direction daily to Morton school). But to buy panini stickers seems dedicated.
I used to do a paper round for McQuillan’s around that time. Happy days. Wasn’t really into the panini stickers myself. But brother was fanatical. I remember he even had an advert for swapping/selling. More than a few people turned up.
Cheers piglet. You’ve really helped me reminisce

Remember those cards, that you`d turn over and it would make a big picture of a scene from a film.
Had loads of the Battlestar Galactica ones, with the Viper chasing the Cylon Raider, been trying to get them cheap on ebay, but no joy.
Munchy, do you have Maradona in that album ? fancy swapping him if you do ?!

I believed that the Mexico 86 sticker album had met the same fate as nearly everything else, your parents used to just chuck them out when you were at school - a case of 'you have finished with it now why would you want it cluttering up the place'. But then however years later it had survived and turned up in their attic, I kept it for years and is now in such a safe place that I cannot find it. Was that the one with two players you had to collect who had gone to play abroad, Paul Rideout being one of them and Paul Elliott the other I think? It could be stashed with the old vinyl. Do you reckon Modern Romance will ever become fashionable again - Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey was such a underrated classic

Cheers pal, that would make more sense as I was wondering why in my head it would just be them two if it were the World Cup 86 one as they surely would have had Lineker in there too ahead of those two.

Just went to check my Mexico 86 album, but it`s not where I thought it was, only the Italia 90 one is there !
It was actually in a drawer, where I stashed all my vinyl, but moved them all out a few months back, and only that album remains.
I think I`ve done the same as you Munchy, and put it somewhere so safe, I can`t find it !

If that fails pal check between the plump breasts of your Razzle and Fiesta collection and you may find some joy. Reminds me of my old school pal who delivered papers and was a bit light handed with the delights from the top shelf, amassed himself a great little collection beneath his bedroom carpet underneath the loose floor board. I can only guess that his Mam had watched one of those tv programmes 'is your child on drugs' and had gone on a hunt - he came home to his porn stash on the living room floor, his mother in tears and threatening to call the police.
