We need to revert to a back 4, 1 less defender reduces the chances of one of them cocking up, so in effect that should be a 20% reduction.
It's simple this manager thing, can't see what Simpsons problem with it is.

There is several players still under contract that could well be either bench warmers or out of the picture completely, there are some that will do alright in league 2 however there is very few that have shown enough for league 1 ,if we ever get back.

Not sure I agree with this. He’s forward thinking, has good technique and half decent set pieces. If he was a player on loan to us I’d want to sign him permanently. But currently still needs an extra touch in L1 where you simply don’t have the time. He’s under Contract for next Season, so it’s a big year for him… In all fairness Moxon needed extra touches in L1 with us. Now he's thriving in a decent team. Most players are brought up playing 1 and 2 touch, hopefully we can build a successful team for next year and the lads that should have kicked on this season can have a reset next and develop into decent footballers.

Id like to see Butterworth given an extended run, for last few games of the season, and into next season, I think theres a decent player there. Not sure what Diamonds contract situation at Sunderland is, but if he is available in the summer, and if we can afford his wages, id take him like a shot for the 4h division, but would he drop down?.Maguire, what a huge disappointment, another Offiong, but at least we didnt pay a fee for him. If Back is available on a free , Id take him on a one year deal only, as for such a young player, he seems very injury prone. As mentioned, Charters really needs to step up to the plate. Lavelle should be useful at the lower level, but Hunts, Gibson, Robinson, Harris, McAlmont, Holy,Barclay, plus all the loanees, can either be released or moved on for me.

This is FLW's take on next season;
Carlisle United are preparing for another season in League Two, after their first season back in the third tier in a decade has gone terribly wrong.
There's a consensus around the club that big changes will need to be made to the current team. Manager Paul Simpson even admitted that this season's team was worse than the one that got promoted. The Blues are set to lose 13 of their current players this summer.
- Carlisle United face big changes and need to rebuild their team after a disappointing season.
- A dream summer window could help the Blues dig themselves out of the hole they're in.
- Potential signings like Brendan Wiredu, Sullay Kaikai, Ken Aboh, Chris Conn-Clarke, and Connor Barrett could strengthen the squad.

I wouldn't say no to any of them, do they live in Yorkshire though?

Most articles on the FLW are written by a supporter of each club, Adam Tiffen is our reporter. I would take all them names with a pinch of salt

For myself, the main question would be "Am I rebuilding for being competitive in just L2 - or L2 and L1?"
I've said before that it won't be easy to quickly get promoted from L2, so I'd be realistically thinking in terms of "up to 3 seasons". Unfortunately, this flexible time line doesn't help my main question above.
L1 will likely have a few teams who've recently been in the Championship, plus a few more determined to get up there (like this season). If we're serious about competing at upper L1 levels in the near future, we have to aim high in terms of footballing skill sets.
I've never once called for Simmo's head, but has he the ability and experience to get us out of L1? I know that's another question, but it all boils down to perspective. What's the aim? Promotion? Or double promotion?

Double promotion would be just like this season, we would be very much overpromoting if we went L2, L1, CH, we would be miles off that level and would leave us stranded at the bottom. I guess it woud be better to go L2 promotion and then look to steady the ship with a top half finish and then look to push on, though if we do have ambitions then we have to contemplate the costs of the championship, I haven't looked to see how Brentford or Luton upgraded their squads as they went through the divisions, though it does show it isn't impossible to do it.

Don't know much about those players but they look good on paper. Better than a Queens park reserve. Fleetwood are likely to look to offload, so wiredu would be realistic. You would think players at fylde & Altrincham would also be interested

Simpson talking about bringing the young lads who are playing at Reds back, before the Cheltenham game, can Nugent and Kilsby be recalled or not?
