Could maybe suggest no 2 legged fixtures in the later stages of the European competitions, if those poor clubs with squads of 30 multimillionaire footballers are struggling to play so many games. If they really want to play fewer games they can withdraw from the FA cup. One thing that strikes me as odd is that the FA and Premier League seem to have cone to this decision without consulting the EFL clubs yet the rule change is effective from round 1, which they aren't involved in anyway?? Are the early rounds of the FA cup taking viewers from the Premier League? Very strongly worded statement from CUFC, well done whoever put that out.

However sad, it's not a surprise. The FA Cup has been dwindling for quite some time now. Usurped by the Premier League. The European Super League is pretty much inevitable too. It's just a matter of time.
It's the lack of 'trickle down' of Premier League monies that is problem in my mind. There are now 70 plus 'traditional' professional football clubs and another 15-20 entertainment and marketing conglomerates.

A good statement by the club, hopefully, they can get this overturned, not sure how they can make a decision without consulting their client clubs.
I'd be looking at somebody's bank accounts tbh
No doubt Nixon will be off soon, eh 🤔

I’d be keen to know who compiled the club statement, will it have been John Nixon? Not really up to speed on his activity these days but he was Chair of the FA Cup Committee and sat on the FA Council at one time, not sure if he still is though.

Supporters need to end their Sky TV subscriptions and boycott the England team.
If you aren't prepared to do this then you have no complaint.

Sounds like the EFL were consulted, and f*cked up. EFL representatives agreed this change. "Told they had to agree" is bullshit, you never "have' to agree. The representatives of the EFL who agreed the change should be named.

Let's face it, when people like John Nixon can still rise to high ranking positions in the EFL and the FA we really shouldn't expect anything different.
Old school amateurs operating in a rapidly changing professional world.
Most of them will accept any old crap as long as they still get a nice lunch and the occasional day out at Wembley with their wives.

To me the removal of replays is a good thing, as a one off game gives lower league a better chance of winning and therefore progressing further, however I would like to see them reimbursed financially or receive more prize money to compensate for their axing. The PL is awash with money, albeit mainly from TV and sponsorship, so I am sure that it could and should be possible to reward better those lower league clubs who progress through the competition, even without replays. Youre having a laugh The PL are refusing to sign up to a deal that its said will be worth about a quarter of the one a future football regulator will impose on them But this just goes to show how much they think they can ride roughshod over the rest of football Well its time the rest of footballs clubs stood up to them and told them to FCUK RIGHT OFF

Clubs in the Football League should decline to enter the FA Cup next season. Easy solution. No but just refuse to take part in the penalty shoot outs which would throw the 3rd round draw into complete chaos.

We have all these groups and the FSA, but if anyone thinks they have any influence in anything they are kidding themselves. FSA main interest is EDI but missing the main picture. The only people with influence are those with the money - as is most things in life. Reading Andy Holts Twitter is interesting, didn’t know or was asked about it and he owns an EFL club ffs. Their CEO Dave Burgess is on a committee that would have had to approve the EFL decision if as was claimed they had been involved in talks but now after Andys intervention it turns out despite what theyd specifically said earlier no one from the EFL had been involved in any way WHAT A BUNCH OF LYING BASTARDS THE FA ARE.
