All the noise around suggested this was coming.
A total disgrace and shame really as it’s bastardised the competition further - it’s not the competition it once was due too a major rule change.
But what next B teams - it’ll come.
It’s also not the last game of the season anymore again, week before final premiership games.

Very poor show this. Getting that glamour tie then managing to force a replay is the football equivalent of a lottery win for the lower leagues. Not even just the case of the drawing PL teams in R3 onwards, but the teams even further down the pyramid getting a league team in R1 &2. Shameful.

250к can save the season for a 4th division team, weeks wages for a premier striker.

To me the removal of replays is a good thing, as a one off game gives lower league a better chance of winning and therefore progressing further, however I would like to see them reimbursed financially or receive more prize money to compensate for their axing. The game as a whole is awash with money, albeit mainly from TV and sponsorship, so I am sure that it could and should be possible to reward better those lower league clubs who progress through the competition, even without replays.

I'll ask you if that's still your opinion, when we lose in extra time against Newcastle at home in the 3rd round next January.

Lead to lower league teams switching grounds to the premier team too.
Competition is dead due to premier league greed.

Another kick in the bollocks for grassroots football.
Premier League clubs have a reserve team and an U21 team so it is hardly like they could not field a competative team in a replay.

Far more satisfying to beat their first teamers in any case!

They won`t stop, until they`ve financially ruined every club outside the prem, and then they`ll close up shop.
Give it a year, and they`ll probably let clubs have replays again, but only if they allow B teams in.
It needs teams to band together, and just walk off the pitch at full time, stuff extra time and penalties.
Bring shame upon the competition, until they backtrack on this travesty.
