None of our current defence are good enough to play in a black four at league level. Does this explain the possible return of Aaron Hayden? Oh rats, Barry will be issuing a fatwah for me again.

His wife seemed pretty sure she'd be back in London next year. Overheard her on the train Maybe she's leaving him.....or talking about AFC Wimbledon away. If he's on blood thinners that could be for entirely different reasons

Well all of the players flags around BP are still there, I would have thought pulling the one's down of players being released tomorrow would have broken the ice for them as they drove into the carpark in the morning.
Man management at its finest.

Imagine the groans we will all make when it is announced that we are keeping some of the crap ones tomorrow, you know it will happen....

I'm looking forward to seeing a bit more of Vela next season, slyly knacking the odd opposition player and chipping in with a few goals.
One of the signings that I think will come good.

I know that Harris is a bit limited and probably not the answer but I did notice that he bust a gut against Blackpool like I rarely seen from a Carlisle player this season, you tend to remember these things like the look on Kayode's face when he knew he should be tackling a player heading towards goal but decides not to.

From today's post match interview; “We can’t be sentimental about anything, we have to get a group of players together who are going to take this club forward. Not just next season, but the season after. We have a rebuild job to do and we have to make sure we set our stall out in pre-season to show that we’re ready to go and compete at the top end of the table and make sure we are worthy of the support we’ve had this season.” If he keeps all the contracted players who have failed at L1 level, he must be planning two seasons in L2. When I heard him say that on the radio yesterday I thought to myself ''that's what we needed last Summer''.

I’d a read through. Good blog and hard to disagree with most of it but I think I’d differ with you on GK, I’d loan out breeze and bring in an experienced keeper with 200 games under the belt to keep Lewis on his toes, I’d loan out breeze for a season to conference to get games. I’d also keep mcgeough who I think Simmo has finally appreciated his skillset late in the season, he helps keep possession & dictate play and will be comfortable in L2, Butterworth I’d definitely keep as I think in L2 he’ll do well against slower defenders. Key signings are: experienced CB, playmaker/10, LWB, RWB, 2 wingers, experienced striker

The only decent signing of the January window I reckon, as long as he can stay fit. With little doubt Huntington will be released, I think Vela would make a good captain. If Lavelle stays I think he should be relieved of the pressure of team captaincy.
