Instagram is my friend too. But I'd like to hear about the football. Strange thing to admit considering it's for 13 year old girls. We obviously use Instagram for different reasons. Can't say your motivation for using it isn't entirely disturbing, Santiago.

Interesting how Skelton saw it differently from everyone else on this thread who attended. I wonder whose opinion I should trust?

''We are so predictable, by the time we created anything their defence was back and organised''.
That's been the story of our season so far. The Derby game was a case in point, they broke at pace and had an attempt off within three or four touches. When we get the ball we have to take more than that just to retain possession of the ball in our own half.

Completely agree. Very frustrating as we've been competitive in most of the games and with more pace in the front line and wing backs we'd be much more potent.

We were a slow team last season and that was in L2. That was why the squad needed an injection of pace and quality to strengthen the side but instead we got the usual Abbott scattergun approach.
Hence why we've won 1 in 9 this season and an alarming 4 in 25!

Continuity was a big thing with the squad last year and it aided our promotion. So understandably that will have been one of the clubs aims for this season, unfortunately a lot of fringe player from last season haven't kicked on which has left us with no strength in depth. If we get a couple of injuries we are going to be in trouble. The takeover and hopefully financial input will be the difference between a mid table finish or relegation battle. I totally agree at the moment we need to replace at least half a dozen of our squad, not easy in January but hopefully the additional finances can get a couple of deals we tried to complete earlier, over the line.

Clear out on the cards in January me thinks Not sure there'll be a clear out. 3 or 4 will go, but I think Simpson will want a stable dressing room, new signings often take a while to settle in. If takeover goes ahead, can imagine a clear out at end of the season.

If we wait until the end of the season we will be building a squad for division 2 again

Some severe negativity here IMO.
A lot of the fringe players are young with plenty of time to develop and improve. Look at Moxon for an example of how a player can massively improve after a bit of experience and game time. The idea of a huge clear out would be shooting ourselves in the foot IMO.
Yes the squad could do with further strengthening, but not a massive clear out. We need to try to make more use of loaning young players out like we’ve done with Max Kilsby.

Not negativity just hard nosed realism.
Everyone on here wants the team to do well. There are players in the club who are nowhere near the category of “ young players “ and we certainly don’t have time to wait if we want to stay up. We can all rattle off at least half a dozen players in the squad who are less than bang average. They’ve had time and couldn’t cut the mustard in division 2 . Recruitment has been a numbers game and I don’t see how anyone can really disagree. One win in eleven to date. How long do you need to wait to smell the coffee

I think you need to smell the realism yourself, and realise there isn’t an abundance of experienced top quality League One and Championship players all queuing up to sign for us.
