I've been dreading the day I had to start this thread.
Suspected it was coming when they leaked the £11.44 minimum wage.
Play nice, and keep it clean.

It breaks my heart to say it but, any of the 3 horsemen could do a better job than all the Muppets on the front benches.
All currently available if approached I'm sure.

Last GE I spoilt my vote, I got right into it and went to the hustings etc with the Carlisle candidates and realised none of them were any good 😂
The next GE, I don’t think I’m going to bother going to the ballot box.
It’s very sad as we should all vote, I have a list of the parties I won’t vote for, not one I will.

Absolutely greedy as hell..when folk are on their arses, no morals. Anyone think since the unifying of our councils its been a shitshow of the highest order.
Minimum wage going up ok but we still have a trickle of workshy folk in this area maling every excuse not to 🙄.

I worked for the council before/after and afterwards was a shit show. No one knew what they were doing, what area to cover just poorly organised. Wasn’t my area but Cumberland forgot they needed weed people and asked the bin men to do it and they said no. But there’s loads of issues but as long as they get 20% more eh - ridiculous and thankfully they were a couple of independents with morals against it.

Yes they did, sorry. i tend to find labour hypocritical quite often yet I was gobsmacked to hear Lisa Brown, who ran a community food bank. be so for the rise as she should know the issues people are feeling and no doubt this’ll be paid via council tax increases. I don’t get it, I understand you can’t pay peanuts as you’ll get monkeys but you’ve also got to feel the room and importantly the county.

And now Mark Fryer.(destroyer of the Maryport swimming pool plan) and more likely the community stadium project being delayed or coin frittered elsewhere(brown envelopes come to mind)...oh now he wont refund us council tax after the bin strikes which he and his cronies were responsible for months creating rubbish everywhere ..but having 20% allowances is ok for them... Its nothing but a gravy train. it absolutely stinks.

Agree Mark
Council tax has gone up every year yet the standard of public services has dropped. Really with the bin strikes out west they should be a refund but it’ll never happen.
20% increase, at this moment in time stinks and what stinks more is the fact that council tax will be used to pay for it, at a time a lot of people are struggling, and getting very little in return.

Should my vote go to what would be best for the UK?
Or should my vote go to what would best for the Canadian $?
Hmm. Decisions, decisions.
