Best boxes are the ones that have a small row of seats outside the box and you can watch from there if you want whilst the game is on. Not sure that's feasible in the East stand though. Its totally impractical in the East Stand for a number of reasons one being cost and yes i too like the option but the sunken seats set up in one of the pics looks interesting

I'm surprised they can do anything with the east stand as our previous board described it as 'crumbling' when pushing Blue Yonder.
It's almost unfathomable how incompetent they were.
The Piataks must have looked at the facilities and thought "there is so much room for improvement/potential here" To be honest, they are a breath of fresh air.
Yeah, I'd love to see the new plans too.

If you read JC.s piece it mentions some fancy media presentation which will obviously have been outsourced maybe theyre just waiting for it and we should think of it as the Yanks Xmas pressie to us.

I really hope that they've checked the concrete in the east stand to make sure it's not the same as the stuff used in the Sands centre.

I really hope that they've checked the concrete in the east stand to make sure it's not the same as the stuff used in the Sands centre. The issue with that stuff really only applies where concrete beams are used to support a roof and its pretty clear the East Stand roof is supported by metal trusses.

I took a good look at that asbestos roof recently in a break of play and thought that it had to go.
I was in a hail shower once in the midlands where they were jagged and the size of tennis balls some of them, smashed car windows, destroyed roofs and caused bodily harm to lots of people - my car looked like someone had taken a hammer to it with literally hundreds of little dents on it.
If that sort of thing happened to that roof I dread to think of the consequences.
They really were massive these hail stones, my mates Mam still has a load of them in the freezer as keep sakes.

Which building was the butterfly farm? Did he not shelve that plan. A hotel would be nice!

It all looks very tasteful architecture and would have been fantastic if it ever materialised. And actually since then how many hotels have been built? We have also had bingo halls, cinemas and numerous fast food and other chain restaurants built so it would have undoubtedly been successful. Where any figures ever quoted to how much the whole project was going to cost?

The butterfly emporium was certainly one of Knighton's stranger ideas. I can't now remember what his reasoning was behind it. Did he think there are loads of butterfly enthusiasts in Cumbria?

At the time there was a company who ran them who were looking to lease premises from people who would build them that why MK was interested a gauarenteed long tem tennant paying good money for a purpose build premises. I stand to be corrected but i think the only one that came to fruition is on the seafront at Gt Yarmouth its been derelict for a number of years after being put to a couple of other uses after the Butterfly farm lot went bust.
