Looks like some acoustic boards at the back of the Warwick to deflect the sound back. And, some new BOGS. I'm even considering a trip back home so I can have one last piss against that concrete. Seriously though, fantastic from the Piataks. Which part of the plans show the acoustic boards? Just trying to work it out myself. Be a great addition, as much as we love the old girl, BP doesn't lend itself too well acoustically to atmosphere. Interestingly on the WRE plans, looks like the floodlight to between WRE and East Stand is coming out. That area looks to have a new fan zone type seating area. Fantastic to see though, all looks very promising indeed. It will be refreshing to see a fully utilised East Stand. Its much bigger than it looks inside there, so lots of opportunity to be realised hopefully. Well done Piataks and all involved. I was talking to some engineers who were looking around the unused floodlight, and they said it was coming down, but the building underneath it held the electrics for the other floodlights, he hadn't heard what the plans were, if any, to relocate them to free up space.

Their mindset was of the 1960's and they couldnt of cared less about the supporters, It would not of cost alot of money to do some of the smaller things when they were there that would of made a difference but no ambition and excuses such as the East Stand wasn't able to be upgraded because of design issues etc!
The farce of Blue Yonder etc, no land to build it on and no money to build it, who the hell wanted a 12k seater out of town nightmare in any case, so out of touch it beggars belied!
We have been rescued not a second too soon!

Are they adding steps and height to the back of the Warwick Road End?

If even 10% of this materialises it will a thousand times more than the previous board accomplished. Am I dreaming or have we been taken over by forward thinking professionals?

Echoed - a very encouraging forward step from the new owners

It's all a bit odd this. We were led to believe by the previous owners that BP was a waste of time in upgrading and was more or less dilapidated beyond repair. An excuse for doing nothing and spending nothing by the previous owners? Surely not! A far cry from fans having to have a whip round to buy a new telly for the Sunset Suite, or Billy Atkinson telling us at a forum that if we wanted toilet roll in the bogs then we couldn’t have a new striker!

Do these plans indicate that the realignment of the pitch is not something that is going to be considered? I was rather hoping that the Waterworks would be pushed back, with the Warwick following suit, so everything lined up with the East Stand. This would potentially allow space for a decent sized fanzone behind the Warwick. NB I am certainly not criticising what we are being shown by any means, as this is light years ahead of what the previous owners came up with during their tenure. I realise that any realignment would probably involve the line of the flood defence being adjusted accordingly, however I don't think that would present an insurmountable problem.

Hopefully when they do the upgrade they can get shot of the Andrew Jenkins stand malarkey. Probably the only money the guy ever spent on the ground was putting a sign up to himself!

I think the WRE work would fall into the 'quick wins' category. I don't see a large scale redevelopment of ground, barring the East stand, on the horizon any time soon so might as well do best with what we currently have. That's my take on it anyways.

There’s talkers and there’s doers. The Piatak’s are most certainly the latter.

The redevelopment of the Warwick RE (New Stand) will come in time and we'll have to wait 2-3 years until the bulldozers move in. Moving the pitch and thus demolishing the Waterworks would have to come first.

Such changes are likely in the ‘mid’ or even ‘long’ term category? The plans today are very much the ‘now’ and ‘short’ term!

2 months they've owned the club and they've done more in that time than the horsemen did in 15 years!

I'm not a religious person but somewhere somebody's prayers have been answered. God bless the Piataks, the saviours of Carlisle United.
