If it drags on for much longer maybe they will move onto plan b and choose another site?

Is the Gun club still in use at the top? If so, might be useful if they could use some of our players as target practise, save us a few bob in pay offs.

Forward thinking from the Council is about as likely as our recruitment team finding someone who can improve the team !

Think we’d probably need some flatter terrain to build a training ground!

I`m trying to be more positive, and given I`ve turned over a new leaf, I thought this was the better thread to say so.

Is the work being carried out in the training pitch at Brunton Park an acknowledgement that any new training facility will not be ready in time for pre-season training?

Hopefully it means the Sheepmount thing is dead in the water and we've decided to focus the majority of investment this summer on where it's needed most.

Hopefully it means the Sheepmount thing is dead in the water and we've decided to focus the majority of investment this summer on where it's needed most. Yes let's stick £5 million into the squad , which is then all gone and we end up bankrupt like Bury in a few year..... As that's what they did spend all their money making signings and then ended up stuck with a massive wage bill which their current infrastructure could never generate the revenue to sustain. I want a club that will be successful in the long term , so the a club that invest in both the training ground and the squad . As they are clearly not mutually exclusive. It's like buying a steak cooking it on a candle
