That’s it, January Window gone, onto Summer one. Soon be here!
Couple for starters…
Chris Conn-Clarke (22yo) - Altrincham: Ex-Burnley/Fleetwood, had a breakout Season with 15 goals in 28 appearances from a Midfield role. Deffo worth a look (Was a rumour we have possibly at least Scouted him a while back). Out of Contract in the Summer and will be in demand surely.
Laurent Tolaj (22yo) - Aldershot: 13 goals in 29 appearances for the Ex-Sion/Brighton striker. The latter being key, B&HA don’t sign many bad ones into their Academy so you can be sure he’s got something about him. Swiss of Bosnian heritage and another Out of Contract in the Summer, so likely be a lot of interest in him.

At risk of sounding like Piglet, surely 'step change' brings us more than a couple of out of contract non-league players?

At risk of sounding like Piglet, surely 'step change' brings us more than a couple of out of contract non-league players? Nothing wrong with looking at National League Players, IF they are deemed good enough to step up?

Don't get me wrong, there are players to be found down there, just suffering a touch of deadline day deflation syndrome. I probably shouldn't have logged on here tonight after half a skinful!

At risk of sounding like Piglet, surely 'step change' brings us more than a couple of out of contract non-league players? Both of them, especially Conn-Clarke, are attracting Championship interest. Just need to look at Josh Stokes going to Brisolt City this window straight from the NL. We’d be incredibly lucky to get either given where we’ll likely be in the Summer.

We need a new younger manager to come in first with fresh ideas and a new backroom team as I’m not convinced Simmo is the right man for the job.struggles attracting players clearly. John

Depending on how the loan goes I’d hope we’ll be at least having a real go at getting Diamond in permanently.
Proven quality winger. Goals, assists. Exactly what we’ll need if we are to have a good go at bouncing straight back up to League 1

Also with JD it would be nice if he thought ‘fair play to Carlisle giving me the chance to play again’ and subsequently signed…

Enough strikers already.
We need a whole new defence, good teams are built from the back.

We have two for next Season - Armstrong and Kelly (Butterworth is an AM)…

Nothing wrong with looking at National League Players, IF they are deemed good enough to step up? The wording if they are good enough, should be confirmation that they won't be coming here. The links between the magical new scouting software, Abbott's notebook and Simmo's love for injured signings are sadly misaligned.

Try to get Jack Diamond on a permanent deal, a complete back 4 - players with some pace and an ability to defend, plus an experienced Kevin Gray sort. A Moxon - at his best - style of midfielder, a nippy striker able to feed off Armstrong or Kelly. A more extensive scouting network, a B team for some of our present slightly speed challenged players to kick around in. An assistant for Paul Simpson.

If Simpson can’t see that too he’s a gonner because everything you’ve said, if not done, will result in him being sacked at some point.
