I think you need to take into account who will still be with us next year. The scary thing when you look at the squad is how many of the underperformers are still in contract next season. These are the ones I would hope would move on
GK Holy Def Whelan, Barclay (SiC), Huntingdon, Robinson (SiC), Ellis (SiC) Mid Harris (SiC), McGeoch (SiC), McCalmont (SiC) Forward Maguire

Holy,Breeze,Hunts,Emmanuel,Whelan,Gibson and Maguire are all out of contract this summer, with it looking doubtful that Breeze will stay, which is unfortunate, the rest can all go for me.

Summer transfer window will be a doddle compared to the Jan one. Players like most people prefer certainty. If we approach it in the same way as we just have then I'm more than confident we will be bringing in players that will improve us, regardless of which division we are in.

Brand new defence for me and Diamond nailed down to a contract Absolutely, our fullbacks/wingbacks have been an issue all season and an area we keep getting done in, with Hunts likely to be at the end of his career and the Jury out on Lavelle, we probably need 6 new players at the back to cover injuries etc, summer window is going to be huge, no excuses this time!

We should be planning to build a squad with players who can step up and be comfortable in division 1 . Any players who are being kept just to “ be squad players “ seem utterly pointless to me. If we don’t do that we’ll be constantly rebuilding season on season. We know what we need for this league and we know we are woefully short. Moving players on who are under contract and patently not good enough is the challenge.

We have Players who are signed until Summer 25 who could easily be ‘Squad Padding’ for any L2 campaign, who would then be released if we won Promotion again?
I’m thinking likes of Barclay and McCalmont at present? Done enough last Season, but not kicked on this…

That’s it, January Window gone, onto Summer one. Soon be here! Couple for starters… Chris Conn-Clarke (22yo) - Altrincham: Ex-Burnley/Fleetwood, had a breakout Season with 15 goals in 28 appearances from a Midfield role. Deffo worth a look (Was a rumour we have possibly at least Scouted him a while back). Out of Contract in the Summer and will be in demand surely. Laurent Tolaj (22yo) - Aldershot: 13 goals in 29 appearances for the Ex-Sion/Brighton striker. The latter being key, B&HA don’t sign many bad ones into their Academy so you can be sure he’s got something about him. Swiss of Bosnian heritage and another Out of Contract in the Summer, so likely be a lot of interest in him. Conn-Clarke continues to get great reviews at Altrincham, scored one and assisted another again yesterday, hoping we’re well aware of him although I think there’ll be lots of competition to sign him in the summer!

Came with a reputation and I’ve seen none of any supposed ability in this league or division 2 tbh. Games just pass him by with him more or less anonymous on the pitch.

That goes for most of them to be fair. I know it isn't common sense to do so but if we binned every single one of them it wouldn't concern me too much at this moment. Mellish is one I think would be worth keeping because of his physicality. It is looking likely at being our lowest points haul ever so do any of them deserve to be here? Many of them need to be played in fair conditions as windy weather would only injure them, and from what I see Vela is one of the only ones to have the bottle to play in League One.
