Just looking at the potential makeup of league 2 next season. Chesterfield are back, and are almost certain to break the 100 point barrier in the National League. The other promotion place is being contested by a group of clubs with an interesting North/South split. The southern sides are Barnet, Bromley, and Aldershot (I'd happily say 'no' to all 3), whilst the northern contingent consists of Halifax, Oldham, Altrincham, and Gateshead. Solihull Moors are also in the mix. Altrincham and Gateshead would be new northern grounds for many of us, so my preference would be for one of those two to join us (presuming their grounds meet EFL standards). League 2 itself is still up for grabs this season, though Mansfield currently look likely to secure the first of the three automatic promotion places. Stockport are still in a strong position, 5 points behind the leaders with 2 games in hand. Wrexham and MK Dons are currently level on points with Stockport, whilst Crewe (and begrudgingly, even Barrow) are still in with a shot at automatic promotion. The final playoff place could go to any number of teams, with Bradford (15th place) just 7 points behind AFC Wimbledon (7th place) with 2 games in hand. For me, I'd like to see the current top 4 go up - all have cash, and I've been to 3 of the 4 grounds (and will continue to avoid MKD because I'm a stubborn sod). Ourselves, Fleetwood, and Vale all look likely to go down, and I've a sneaking suspicion that Burton will be dragged down with us (Cheltenham still have some very winnable games). So, league 2 could throw us a big chunk of Northern games next season (I've included a couple of midlands clubs in this): Chesterfield Gateshead Morecambe Barrow Accrington Fleetwood Crewe Bradford Port Vale Burton Harrogate Walsall Tranmere Doncaster Notts County Salford Grimsby Admittedly, Grimsby is still a big trek. But some pretty easily doable fixtures there. The problem being that half of them give pitiful away allocations. Might be an idea to get signed up their ticketing sites, and may even buy a couple of cheap tickets (friendlies etc) in order to get access to home end tickets at the likes of Barrow, Fleetwood, and Harrogate* *The Buzzisback does not encourage or condone such behaviour

I'd rather the teams with money Mansfield, Wrexham, Stockport get automatic so we have less competition next season but then that's if we have a side good enough to compete in the top half of the division.
I've done Gateshead stadium before but that was for a concert and not football.
Massive NO to Barnet (spit).

I haven’t done Colchester, we’ve always played them away wh En I’ve been busy and Chesterfield as well.
Only 2 new grounds buy depends who else goes up with Chesterfield.

Honestly out of those 3 southern teams I’d rather Barnet came up than Bromley or aldershot.
Barnet is piss easy to do by train and tube.

I've done the new Colchester twice. First time was in their first season at the ground where they failed to win their first four games then we rocked up and and the home side romped home 5-0 in true Carlisle fashion. The second time we scraped a late draw with a Thirlwell injury time equaliser. A rare Thirlwell goal which happened as much as a forward pass from him. The same happened when I went to Chesterfield's new ground also for the first time and they hadn't won in their new stadium either and we turned up and it was 4-1 to Chesterfield. Carlisle United, the gift that keeps on giving.

Colchester looking a decent bet to go down. Last time I went they went out the league, but only after they beat us 4 0.
The point that all the fantasy budget teams will be gone has been made before. Hopefully mk dons will go up as well. Leaves Bradford, Salford Chesterfield Gillingham as the big spenders.
I think Fleetwood could go down again next year. Accrington have money problems. So even if funding isn't as generous as we hoped the rot should stop.

With the state of our recruitment and the Piataks not giving too much of f*** about the football, we should be favourites to go down again next season.

Would love to see Wrexham fail, but then they`d be a problem for us next year. Would love to see MK Dons fail, for stealing the Wimbledon name, and buying their way into the league, instead of on merit. Not fussed about Mansfield, but they could be trouble for us next year, so them in L1 would be good. Hope Barrow choke, as them being a league above us, would mean much mockery for at least 12 months.
Would love Stockport to take the title, as when I watched all the youtube videos of Wembley last year, I didn`t hear a single negative word from their fans about us, in the buildup to the match. Always had a soft spot for them, after the game where we clinched promotion, and I think they avoided going down, and both sets of fans were singing, and cheering together.
Absolutely LOVE hearing that between 2 sets of fans, and football needs a lot more of it.
Would be VERY happy to see Forest Green go down, horrible little club, and an equally unlikeable owner. Would love to see Barnet choke as well, never liked them going back years.
Oldham or Halifax to come up would be nice, would kind of like Oldham to do it, but it`s been a long time out of the league for Halifax.

So even if funding isn't as generous as we hoped the rot should stop. Accrington have no money problems whatsoever They will trim their squad down to a more manageable number The new manager and his assistant will be on wages relevant to league two rather than the top end of the championship. And when this is done Andy Holt will be more than happy to go on funding them. As for Fleetwood it needs a few clubs to start giving the EFL a few nudges because if you read that recent Athletic article they are clearly operating in a Mode outside the current rules and thats before you factor in what might ultimately happen when the profits of crime lot finally get their act into gear.
