Halifax I see have hit form at the best time and are currently in the play offs as they lead Chesterfield 3-1.
Could be playing them next season.

Chesterfield & Halifax would be an excellent pairing to come up…

Did you see the state of that pitch last night though? It brought a whole new meaning to the phrase 'a potato field', even Bradford's pitch against Notts County in midweek was similar to the Burton pitch we played on earlier this season, really poor for a big club like Bradford. We can all have our moans and groans about the team, but one things for certain, the pitch at Brunton Park is as good as any in The Premier League.

Chesterfield are as good as promoted, and certainly wouldn`t mind Halifax up with `em, two proper football clubs.

A mate of mine is convinced we`ll get promoted next season, there`s some posters on the forum equally convinced we`ll be relegated. Difficult to predict without knowing what`ll happen in the summer transfer market, but I don`t think we`ll be anywhere near relegation but I also think we won`t be in the promotion race either. I do feel we will achieve a return to League 1, but the re-build of the squad may take at least 2 - 3 seasons before this may be possible.

Halifax are a decent 'old style' lower league football club.
Like Darlington, I hope that they make it back into the league.

The only thing is the away end structure is a bit of a waste as theres very little underneath it apart from an average sized bar and a few loos the rest of it on 4 levels is completely wasted. The other end is actually more substantial [ if not quite as big ] as its a solid structure formed from the natural flow of the land. Its pretty amazing that given all they've been thru the ground theyve ended up with is as good as it.

Was at Halifax away, long time ago, when they were in the league. Think it was a night game, can't remember the result. Think we won, any one help?
