Was at Halifax away, long time ago, when they were in the league. Think it was a night game, can't remember the result. Think we won, any one help? Last win at The Shay was in 1993, 2-0. Prior to that you have to go back to 1964. Most recent game was the 2-2 draw in 2002, Foran scored I think. Also a memorable (for the wrong reasons) 5-2 defeat in 1999.

The site I looked at to remind myself obviously didn't count the Conference. Looks like we drew 2-2 down there that year as well. That goal at BP was caused by Glenn Murray making an awkward nuisance of himself, little insight into the kind of thing that made him so successful later in his career.

That goal from Murray was typical of his "in your face" competitiveness. He was obviously a good player but his determination lifted him to heights beyond which his natural talents alone would have taken him. Richard Keogh was the same. I've always admired players who give 100% and never back down. We need to find a few more of these characters for next season.

I’d happily see that sort of Terrace in place of the WRE in future, would make some noise! The only thing is the away end structure is a bit of a waste as theres very little underneath it apart from an average sized bar and a few loos the rest of it on 4 levels is completely wasted. The other end is actually more substantial [ if not quite as big ] as its a solid structure formed from the natural flow of the land. Its pretty amazing that given all they've been thru the ground theyve ended up with is as good as it. Hi mate are you planning on both had some good days at Saltergate RIP back in the day how much are you benching these days 110kg for reps for me the really heavy stuff was long ago Keith

Doncaster Rovers on an incredible run.
Won their seventh consecutive league game tonight and now only 4 points off the play-off places with 4 games to go.
Must be a chance we could lose one of the better away trips for next season now.

Remember molyneaux ripping John m a spare one in the pizza cup. Molyneaux was at Hartlepool then but looking for a new club at the time. Scored and won a penalty in the last 10 minutes

1992 was a night game, maybe a Friday? We lost 3-2. Deano and Andy Watson scored and we were 2-1 in front. 1993 was the 2-0, on a Saturday. It's when the "he's black, he's White, we don't give a sh*te. Winston White" chant was born. George Oghani and Ian Arnold with our goals, in each half. Away support was very low, 200 odd maybe. It was fairly soon after our 6-0 schlepping at Bury which I'd thankfully missed due to partying too hard the night before.

Wasn`t that 6-0 at Bury, the score at halftime ? I remember rushing in the house, at 4pm,to check the score on Ceefax, and I could not believe any team could be 6-0 down in 45 mins.

We drove down, it was pouring with rain, so we stayed in the pub. Got in the ground, someone told us it was 6 0. Then nothing happened at all in the second half. Was the Halifax game the one where they had a great hole in the wall with a blue rope across it? Kids were running in and out all game

Are you confusing Halifax away with an episode of Byker Grove?

Burton play Cheltenham on Tuesday. Vale play Wycombe. If Vale and Cheltenham lose, it's pretty much decided the 4 clubs who go down.
In the 4th Sutton drew, forest green lost 5 0, so looking unlikely those 2 will be around next year
