Pretty toothless display really, quite decent from us in bursts but never looked likely of scoring. Poor up front though, Kelly and Armstrong haven't clicked as expected although they should be better in the bottom league. Why should they be better in Division Four? Armstrong is about as lethal as toothless hamster and Kelly as stiff as an ironing board. In partnership then they won’t score but will have the best pressed kit in division 4 👍

Funny how almost everyone said it was a big step up to league 1 but no one seems to think it will be a big step down to league 2.

Because they cannot possibly be any worse. Why couldn't they? They could be equally as crap, or worse, quite easily. Kelly will likely have a calf injury for most of next season anyway. As you are aware, I am not too keen on our strikers - just me being hopeful more than anything that it will not be as bad as the season we have just endured. I can see Kelly bullying a few defenders though. Just looked at the league, Shrewsbury and especially Cambridge can thank the points they secured against us for staying up.

Convinced Neal has arthritis, young boy moves horrifically, constantly chasing his touch as well which doesn’t help.

Firstly, thank god this appalling season is over. Secondly, I actually thought this was one of our better performances. Plenty of effort and occasional decent play. However all our other failings were on display. Poor defence, toothless attack, no creativity, belated substitutions etc For all our play in their half I never felt we were going to score. It is an indictment of how bad things have been that I'm mildly cheered by only losing 2 nil.

Didn't understand what Lummy meant earlier when he said that we went up too early.
You would take promotion rather than not surely?
I wouldn't fancy say three years in the bottom league 'preparing' to go up as it would be three fruitless seasons with no guarantee going up on the fourth.

Derby needed an early goal to settle their nerves, and they just took it. The same as Blackpool. We were just hopeless

Did McCalmont actually manage to get served in The House Of Vodka?
I would suggest he grows one of those wispy little moustaches.

Nobody turns down a promotion. More bull shit to protect Simpson. Why has he not outed him for the joke of a transfer window in January? Why has he not outed him for the non football this season, 30 losses etc etc etc Joke that he’s not critical of an absolute shambles and embarrassment of a season in management

If we return to League Two and it, like League One has has turned into the land of the giants then we are screwed.

Michael Kelly could get to Wembley two years in a row and play this time
I bet he’s glad he got released possibly League 1 football for him next season

I wonder how this season would’ve gone if we’d lost the pens to Stockport. Not beyond the realms of possibility that we’d have built on the momentum, added a couple of shrewd signings in jan, and would be going up in the automatics this time around. We’d then be in a much stronger position to take on L1 than we were this time around It’s all Charters’ fault
