Agree Bluebry, the sound was deafening at times. I also think your comments regarding the Piataks resonates with 'most' CUFC supporters, however they certainly have their work cut out in helping to ensure things improve ON the pitch.

Some folks have a friendly chat to you down the pub, and this alone makes them the right people to run a football club.
Right.
Remember JC? Same thing. Pint and a crack excuses all the ineptitude, just because they're apparently nice folks.
The football?
Who actually cares?

Probably one of the best atmospheres for a game of football that I've ever been at, the Derby fans when they did that 'jumping up and down' thing were phenomenal. Also our fans were once again absolutely superb, and despite us going behind so early on kept with the lads all afternoon. Also good to hear, very few (if any) negative comments towards Simmo. The whole weekend was topped off when we were in the local Weatherspoon's (The Standing Order) on the Friday evening to see no less than the whole Piatak family come into the pub, where they were happy to chat to us for around 15mins. Really friendly and were more than happy to answer all the questions we asked. Absolute stars the lot of them! and completely different from the opinions of certain keyboard warriors that dwell in pig sty's. I'm more convinced than ever we have the right people at the helm of our club COYB I remember seeing Steve Patt in a pub once. Tried to speak to him about the football, when he realized I was just a supporter he said "you aren't important and your opinions aren't worth a toss" Fattim would rather have the old regime. Tosser!

Frankly, it's not a question of rather.
I don't care who owns our football club, as long as they put the football team first.
That's all I expect.
(And I expect them to do it, not just say it and then do the opposite)

(And I expect them to do it, not just say it and then do the opposite) Make your mind up. First you were all for the yanks. Now you aren't. You obviously do care because you slammed Laffy and Lummy's attempts to get involved. Or was that down to personalities?

You obviously do care because you slammed Laffy and Lummy's attempts to get involved. Or was that down to personalities? As a Piatak cult member you're trying to make it a polarised question. It isn't. Either you're "all for the Yanks" or you're "all against them". I'm at neither extreme. Do I think they're here to exploit the club and make a quick buck? No, I do not. Do I think they're unscrupulous types with a dodgy business background? No, I do not. Do I think their hearts are in the right place and they're trying their best to do the right thing? Yes, I do. Do I think they're misguided, lacking expertise and borderline incompetent in a football sense (and in a football sense only)? Yes, I do. Do I think the Three Amigos would've made a better fist of keeping us in Division Three? Yes I do. Would they have succeeded? Who knows, probably not, but it probably wouldn't have been just about the most disastrous season in our history. Would I like to see the Piataks bring success to our club? Hell yes. Would I like to see the Piataks sell the club? Only if they continue to fail to learn from their mistakes. Then it's kind of inevitable anyway. Would I prefer to see the Three Amigos or the Piataks owning our club? At this point, I don't care. As explained, what matters is what they do not who they are. To answer your point. Indeed I did think they looked like decent prospective new owners, but expressed my grave concerns the minute they turned the Charlton home game into the Piatak circus and focus on the football was lost. I said this in November and gave warning how the season was likely to go. At the time I was apparently being negative and not letting folks "enjoy the occasion", how did this turn out?
