Wukkie, that list made me all warm and fuzzy ! Aside from Football Challenge, I played all of those. But I have this vague memory of a game that might be that one, where it was similar to the original FM, but the players would take 3 steps, before shooting at goal.
I spent so long on CM0102, that I never got into CM0304, and what I think was called Championship Manager 4 ? the one that is apparently the worst ever in the series. I had all the foreign leagues as well, and somewhere in the house are the French & German versions. I even have the Championship Manager Quiz game as well ! I do have CM 07 somewhere, but never really got into it.
I do play a Carlisle save now and then, but usually after doing some editing. I`ve been playing FM21 lately, and used the editor to give us 50% sell ons for Trafford, Henderson & Branthwaite. Branthwaite went to Man City for £150m, so as a L1 side, we got £75m in the bank !
But something went wrong with the save, and I had to abandon it.
I`m currently testing an FM21 save, where I`ve managed to get us into the prem, and become a stable side. I`m not managing them, I just run it through seasons, and if they stay up, I save it, and run another season, if they go down, I go back, and run it again.
Curently in 2034, and after 7 seasons in the prem, they`re FINALLY spending big money on players, and aren`t predicted to finish 20th every year.
Soon to move into a brand new 38K all seater stadium, and somehow, Gavin Skelton is STILL assistant manager !
The trouble with sending your assistant manager to do all the media stuff, is they always say something stupid, that upsets players, or they promise a new contract to someone, and once that is set as a promise, you have a nightmare on your hands, if you don`t give them one !

Skelton still the assistant manager in 2034, that made me LOL.
Sounds about right. 😊
As for Football Challenge it may have been on the Commodore 16 I had or Spectrum 128K. I can't recall any graphics though.
There's probably more that I can't remember at the moment.
Footballer of the year was one but the best multi-player management I've played was on the Amiga called Football Masters and you got through a season pretty sharpish. I used to play with two of my mates and whenever any of us got sacked their team got instantly pillaged.

Wukkie - Thank You !!
There was a game I played for a while, and loved on the Amiga, but could not remember the name of it, and Football Masters was that game ! Think it wasn`t available in the shops, and you had to send off for it, but I remember it had a pool of foreign players you could buy each season, with Jean Pierre Papin, and Gazza when he was at Lazio. Still have it somewhere in the house I`m sure.
Footballer of the year was a GREAT game ! Each week spending credits on that little game wheel, where you had to stop the cursor in the right place, to get extra goal cards, or if something bad came up, you`d lose them !
"You lose at the horse races, how much did you lose ?"
And then it would start spinning around, getting quicker each time, and you had to try and minimize your losses ! I LOVED that game !
I`m planning to take over Carlisle, once they move into that new 38K all seater stadium, but it`s 3 years away, so a bit more testing to do, before I jump in, and I wonder if Gav will still be assistant when I take over ?!

It`s not in a good state at present Happyblue, hopefully the update in the new year, can sort some of the issues out.
Players constantly moaning seems to be one of the most complained about things in the game, but it`s been like that for years

I got 2023 for £6 or I would still be playing 2020 and I only got that as a present tbh ornid be on 2017

Footballer Of The Year is in my top five favourite Spectrum Games, I cannot recall the amount of hours me and my mates played on this - taking turns with the goal cards (you had to buy or win these goal cards and each game you could use one to have one to three chances at goal, you could sit it out if you only had one chance in the next game say) it was brilliant fun and you could even transfer abroad. The second game in this series I really enjoyed but not as much, although it was clever - before the game there was a chalk board telling you where to make your run or where to be when the ball was crossed to you for you to take your chance on goal.

And that it went up £3 this year as well, makes me think they make too much money out of it, so leave things in for it to be needed to fix. But player whinging is SO OTT, and has been for far too long, and I don`t hold out hope they`ll have it balanced in the 2025 game either.

In a strange case of life not imitating art, 60% of the virtual Carlisle fans in my game want to see Simpson sacked.

Haven`t played it in decades, but still remember when I finally won FOTY, and even now, I can see in my head, the screen flashing, and the sound it made, when you won ! I remember it was unique, in that it came in one of thos cases, that opened like a book, and not the normal clear, plastic tape boxes, that most Spectrum games came in. And getting 3 goal cards in a game, was great fun ! HATED the penalty one, as the keeper would just jump up, and catch it ! But the one where the ball was moving was great. If you rolled it left or right, and then hit shoot, right as it got to the penalty spot, you`d score every time, as it would go in the far corner, where the keeper couldn`t reach it ! We had to find our own cheats back then, if they weren`t in one of the monthly magazines, or no-one at school knew of one, then discovering something in game, to make it better, was a joyous moment. Ah....things often were much better before the dark times....before the internet.

I`m sure the developers confirmed this years ago, but the social media parts, are entirely random, and have no effect on the game. It simply chooses 3 responses, to almost everything. 1 is positive, 1 is negative, and 1 is neutral. Pay no attention to any of them ! The social media page is only useful, for future transfer targets, where they`ve asked fans if player x should be signed etc.
