He didn’t though did he. You failed to answer it too. You didn't fulfill your part of the deal. There wasn’t a deal to be made. You couldn’t answer the question so started changing the subject as pointed out by others too.

What was it they wanted to do to the WRE? Was it removing the peaks and making it a sloped roof so to speak? Think their initial focus is on the bogs and the 'concessions' (catering arrangements) - but they've spoke about the acoustics too. Not sure how plausible a new roof is, but it would work wonders for the efforts of the WRE crowd in terms of generating an atmosphere. Could they put in a suspended ceiling with a layer of whatever material can reflect the noise outwards? I’m sure an easy enough fix for an acoustic engineer & story homes

Any architects/engineers on here may be able to give us an idea...

So if a site has been submitted to council am I right in assuming the club have bought or leased a site? If yes I’m surprised they’ve not made more of a news item of this

So if a site has been submitted to council am I right in assuming the club have bought or leased a site? If yes I’m surprised they’ve not made more of a news item of this It's a 'proposal for a site' which could mean anything. Some possibilities: - They've identified a site they want to buy
- They've identified a site they want the council to go in with on them
- (Less likely) they've bought a site and are submitting preliminary plans
I'm sure others will have their own ideas.

If they're applying to the council for planning permission I'd have thought it meant they already either owned or leased the site. They may however simply be sharing their draft plans with the council to get a heads up whether PP is likely to be granted if they buy or lease it.

Is it just me the abbreviation "PP" makes me want to scratch.

The Piataks have certainly got lots of plates spinning, I've heard they are looking into purchasing the properties that back onto the WRE. Doing that would not only give the club additional player accommodation but would also enable the stand to be extended into the gardens of the houses.

Was thinking about this the other day when I came across episode one of the Rod Squad documentary online. You had Peter Murphy, Richie Foran and I forget who the other player was, all staying in a two up two down on Warwick Road next to BP. Just can't see players going for that these days! Don't we put them up in one of the Dixon's Chimney flats? It's a good shout space wise though. If you demolished those houses it would really open up access to the ground. In terms of plates spinning, they are moving quickly but it also goes to show just how inept and inactive our previous owners were with just about everything to do with the club. The Piataks are actually trying.

The Piataks have taken over a gigantic project both on and off the field. If they aren't going to put the club in debt it infers that they will be funding it themselves or through their businesses. I wonder how much they are budgeting to spend £5m, £10m or more? However much it is this will be easily the most investment the club has ever had. I can still barely believe it.

I was given a wander round the facilities a couple of years back prior to Simmo's return, and they were embarrassing, far too small and looked like they hadn't been improved since the West stand had been built. It will easily have given the opposition a gee up during the pre match talk, along the lines of look at the state of the facilities, their a small town club, with no ambition let's have them. Thankfully now the pensioners have moved on changes are happening, and more importantly happening very quickly. Every small improvement is going to help the current squad and make us more attractive when bringing new people in. Doesn't surprise me, I remember when Simmo first came back he wasn't happy that it was essentially the same facilities as when he was last here! I remember seeing this story from the summer, and while its great work as always from the London branch, the fact as a professional sports team we didn't already have one of these in the club gym probably says it all really!

Gibson & McCalmont are definitely two who are living there, think Barclay maybe does aswell. Remember when Simpson was first in charge and signed the likes of Preece, Cowan and Duffield. They all shared a flat at the Maltings, down Shaddongate.

How we could do with some experience like that now. Do these type of players even exist anymore? They all seem to be spice boys from the minute they get into first team football, until the day they retire.🤷🏻♂️

Or maybe he’s had the chimney converted into a flat to give him some headroom.
