You can't beat the Tom Wrathhall Ads ''He's sec a grand fella.'' I kind of miss the old local ads for how bad they were. Wasn't that Donald Scott on the voiceover? Always remember the Peter Tyson advert with some Border presenter, possibly Alan Fisher, awkwardly saying "Hallo Tosh, got a Toshiba? If not, got to Peter Tyson" accompanied by a wonky photo of the shop with the phone number underneath. I couldn't tell you who did the voiceover TBH. I'm like bluemineux that usually everything I watch is recorded so skip the ads and the only ones I do watch is when I'm forced too on youtube and even then I do as he does and press backup and start again.

Just looked it up again and it was Donald Scott, local Christmas panto stalwart. www.whitehavennews.co.uk/news/17129549.donald-never-stopped-entertaining-cumbria/

Funny you should mention Prison Break, a neighbour gave me a bag of DVD`s recently, and series 1-4 were amongst them.
Thought it went on longer than that, so left it in the bag, but just checked, and it ran for 4 series, before coming back not long ago for a 5th.
But I remember a lot of people watching it, and saying it got boring, after the 1st series. Might give it a go though.

Underrated tv for sure but only so many times you can break out a prison

4 series shouldn`t take that long to get through, and it might help keep me off here during the day.

Miami Vice was way ahead of its time, it had everything, the setting, mood, the soundtracks, pure class...would love them to bring it back for a special...or a crazy crossover with Dexter and CSI Miami.
Auf Weidersehn Pet is still the classic of choice from.this country...pure gold the crack and banter was just superb

Been 40 years since I last saw an episode of Miami Vice ! Would watch them all over again, if I could, and Auf Weidersehn Pet.
2 series I`ve been after for a while, are Married With Children & Malcolm in the Middle.
But complete boxsets of both, are going for £60+ on ebay, last time I had a look.
Not as expensive as the boxset of Battle of the Planets, that I`ve been after for YEARS ! That`s over £100 when it comes up on ebay.
But thankfully, someone uploaded the whole lot on youtube, and free to watch.

I'd like to add Red Dwarf and Bottom to the list. I've noticed late at night on That's TV there are re-rund of Benny Hill. I haven't watched more than clips so don't know if they are edited but 12AM onwards is probably the only time good old british humour is allowed on tv these days.

Bottom is a great shout ! Although they`ve made some cuts to it over the years. Most notably when Richie gets his wallet stolen at the fair, and the "thieving b*****d g***s" line.On TV, and even the DVD`s, the last word was replaced with "Yobbo`s"
But on the DVD set, where they edited it out, on the inlay, where it lists the chapters, that scene is actually called the unedited phrase !
And I only watched the full, and uncut version of the Christmas episode last year, and it has about 10 minutes of footage that isn`t shown, when it`s on the TV, on Gold/Dave etc. Apparently the edited it heavily, in order to make it the same size as the other episodes.
Friend of mine mentioned the other day, about a documentary coming soon on Gold I think, called Bottom Exposed.
And another show I have fond memories of, and which someone has uploaded the whole lot onto youtube - Jossy`s Giants.
If you remember it, then the theme to it, is probably in your head right now !

I watched all of those Benny Hill episodes, not long back, they were on a channel, late at night, and with a warning before each one.
"The following program contains humour of the time, which some viewers might find offensive"
And they chopped the hell out of the episodes, as it would go quiet, when some lines were spoken, or a scene would just end, and whatever the joke/punchline was, you didn`t get to see it.
But there was some absolute comedy gold in them, the man was a true comedy genius, and I`m after the 2 x boxsets of the whole lot, which are apparently uncut, and as they were shown, but they`re bloody expensive on ebay.

ITV3/4 in the morning usually has some 70s comedies on before I start work
Managed to watch all of On The Buses, great apart from the last series where Arthur and then Stan have buggered off
George and Mildred was surprisingly decent
But Bless This House with Sid James was a bit of a letdown

Scot Squad on BBC iPlayer is worth watching with some comedy gold in it.
