At the final whistle, Derby fans will probably be celebrating promotion and at least for us we can draw a line under a wretched season. It will be a nice feeling for it to be over and then we can forget about it and move on. As much as I want the season to be over, I can't imagine it being a nice feeling watching 30,000 people celebrating promotion while we wonder what might have been. Still not made my mind up on this. Can't really justify the expense... however... We seem to be forced to endure this quite frequently. I can think of several occasions over the years. However there's always the possibility Bolton beat Shrewsbury midweek and Derby lose at Cambridge. Then if we beat them we could screw their promotion hopes over. However, let's face it. Simpson isn't going to go there and deny them promotion, he'll probably be sitting in the Derby dugout asking for a job.

(I for one have got absolutely nothing against Derby), give them a deserved round of applause at the end of the game, THEN draw a line under the whole wretched season and start looking forward. After all, it may be us next season!!!

We suffered the same fate at Wolves in 2014, relegation misery and their promotion party as such .but to be fair dressed up as popes in an area full of mosques brought a few looks from the islam worshippers en route to the ground.😂..
No away weekend again this year, but if we had done fancy dress, maybe should have dressed as Sheep doubling up as Rams and being from Cumbria.

Fantastic turnout, especially considering the circumstances. Our support this season has been brilliant.

Bolton currently losing at home to Shrewsbury so if that stays the same then Derby could wrap up promotion at the weekend.
Don't know what is worse though, pressure off and celebratory mood with their fans so they could turn it on or needing something out of the last game, the pressure could get to them or they kick our arses because they need to.
Saying that, we are so crap that they would probably beat us under either scenario.

1400 away, for a team far away at the bottom of the division, relegated, season over, and are playing like dog mess.
That is phenomenal ! In the interview on youtube earlier, Tom said about the amazing support, and the queue for Derby tickets.
The potential is here, if only we could improve the coaching/recruitment/scouting side, to take us forward.
That said, I hope we lose 5-4, and Derby have a promotion party, with our fans joining in.

Some season defining games tonight in our league.
Burton had safety virtually in the bag till Cheltenham equalised.
Lincoln winning at Oxford, an Oxford win would have virtually sealed a play off spot.
Barnsley winning at Portsmouth, Moxon still on the bench.
Imagine the turd of a game that Burton vs Cheltenham must be, no skill on show and both sides scared of losing the game.

A far cry from that Cheltenham/Burton 7-6 goalfest from a few years back !

Cheltenham just gone 2-1 up against Burton, so Cambridge & Port Vale are still in trouble
