I.ll be happy if we do what we did last time we played them on the last day of the season and pissed on their promotion parade.
Never forget that day we went in a nicked A40 shooting brake [ for those of you over 50 it was the one that had the wood framework on the back ] No cameras in them days and we made it back as far as Carnforth before we got nicked and it turned out the copper who stopped us didnt even know it was nicked he was more concerned he'd seen six of us get into it outside the chippy.

When have we ever "pissed on (Derby's) promotion parade"?
We gave them a couple of thrashings in 82 and 83 but those fixtures were in August and October respectively.
The 75 game was a dead rubber for both sides, nobody pissed on anybody's anything.

You're considerably older than me, I wasn't old enough to be at the Baseball Ground in 1975, but two of my close relatives were there. I wasn't too concerned about the Lincoln result in fairness. They deserved it and the day was all about lifting the trophy (which should've happened after the game, not before). It was mild disappointment, that's all.

Derby players will be wanting a goal each, they might just get it.

Sums up the season. Total embarrassment in the final game 3 or 4 nil I'd say.

They only need a point to guarantee promotion.
Pre agree a 2-2 draw. From their pov no risk of us doing what we did to Peterborough or Bolton, for us no risk of getting a live TV hiding. They get their promotion, we look respectable for the day. Everyone satisfied.

Even if that was the case I'm sure one of our players could slice one into his own net to give Derby a 3-2 win at the death.

I’d take less than 5 at this stage. With Lavelle, Lewis, Back and Armer in the team it could get really embarrassing.
