Sarina Wiegman talked more sense in her short interview after the Lioness's stalemate against Portugal today than Gareth Southgate has spoken during his entire 6 year tenure......plus her half time substitutions made a POSITIVE difference (unfortunately not on the scoreboard) and the reasons given for those substitutions made perfect sense. Just saying.

I wouldn't mind going England v Italy in October. Problem is, I haven't been to an England game since 1997. Anybody got any advice on getting reasonable priced tickets please?

Just register on the FA website and you become a member, you then get a days head start on the general sale. Pretty sure the sale period starts next week.

Really you want to find someone who is a member of the travel club and ask if they can buy you one. We got ours this morning - £25 each. Most in the travel club who aren’t going would be happy of this as it means they will get the loyalty points. Minimum price rises to £35 once it goes to “my England football members” and general sale. All information is on here: www.wembleystadium.com/events/2023/England-v-Italy

Kyle Walker's first England goal gets us level with Ukraine at half time in Poland. A bit concerning.

A superb build up and goal from Ukraine beforehand.

Surely that's handball? It may not be intentional but it has a huge impact...

Struggling at the moment, not quite like the game at the Lamex this afternoon but hardly the kind of performance that makes you think we'll be genuine challengers next Summer

Unimaginative, predictable, one-dimensional. As poor as I've seen from England in a competitive game for a while - as bad as that WC game against the US. Fair play to Ukraine, who thoroughly deserved their point.

Absolutely pathetic, boring, slow and ponderous. Backward and sideways passing at its best! I have no idea what Southgate and his coaching staff do and say to decent players to make them look so poor in an England shirt.
Maguire played ok to be fair, but he, Phillips and Henderson should never have been selected. One of his earliest mantras was players will be picked on form - What, for the reserves.
I could almost accept a stuffing from the jocks on Tuesday if it meant Southgate got sacked. The man is totally clueless.

He had a less than 30% win rate at his only league club and has relied on quality players seeing through his lack of managerial abilities to keep him in the job. He's a typical grey yes man who the FA love.

Who would you replace him with? He's only the second England manager to get to a major final and only the third to reach a World Cup semi final. In my life time England have tried every type of manager going since sacking Sir Alf. Revie, Greenwood, Robson,Taylor, Venables, Hoddle, Keegan, Sven, Capello, Hodgson. Some very successful club managers who could do absolutely nothing with England. They had some fantastic players. Some not so fantastic players. Even a 'golden generation' or two but Southgate has had more success than those on that list put together. Southgate undoubtedly has his faults but his record in tournament football is second only to Ramsey. If we could guarantee that there's someone out there who could take over and win the World Cup I would be more than happy to say bye bye to Southgate tomorrow. But we can't.
