Anything is better than nothing, even if it starts as a basic idea and space to add on to it would be great. Maybe our lack of these sorts of facilities and equipment is why we get so many injuries, like not having an ice bath. Climbing up that bloody great flood defence banking that surrounds the training pitch after training can't help.

Does anyone else think this quote drops a hint our transfer incomings are finished this window? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong.
"We are definitely hands on but this is our first time and we don't have the knowledge and expertise that Paul [Simpson - manager] and the staff have," Piatak added.
"We're definitely leaning on Paul. There are some exciting things in the works, the four players we have got are going to help us go to where we want to go."

Well if Simmo's first request was to strengthen the spine of the team he's done that, but we certainly need a couple more, at least 2 I reckon.

From the info that's out there, it seems we had a 200k bit nocked back for Jake Young last week. There is clearly more in the kitty, and absolutely no chance that the club isn't still actively looking to bring in new faces.

To me it sounds a bit like business is concluded.
Why not say:
"We've brought four players in who we believe will take us where we want to be and our business is not concluded this transfer window yet"
If you expect further additions?

It suggests there is no chance they'll be sacking him anytime soon though, the other is open to interpretation with the wording, it is factual at worst.

I think we will do some more business but recon it might be deadline day.

Anyhow, let's presume for a moment that this proposal is given the green light - that would be yet another statement of intent from the Piatak family. We're halfway through the transfer window, and 'stepchange' to me seems pretty real. Cosmetic changes around the ground continue to move on, and it sounds like we could be heading towards progress on one of the biggest issues holding this club back (the lack of training facilities).

Great news, should we be surprised by the state of our facilities after the owners we had, thought SP had it all in hand, hardly!
We so need dragging kicking and screaming into this century, not a minute too soon, thank god for the takeover, we are hearing what most of us already knew, that our facilities were tinpot 1960's where the old BOD were still stuck in, cant wait to see the upgrades and improvements on the way, the speed they work at is fantastic given the diet of complete mediocrity we had been fed on!

They do seem to be going all out - it's impressive stuff.

What was it they wanted to do to the WRE?
Was it removing the peaks and making it a sloped roof so to speak?

Think their initial focus is on the bogs and the 'concessions' (catering arrangements) - but they've spoke about the acoustics too. Not sure how plausible a new roof is, but it would work wonders for the efforts of the WRE crowd in terms of generating an atmosphere.
